Pam's Diner — Restaurant in Bellingham

I love a good breakfast, as anyone who reads my reviews knows. In sum, this is a good breakfast, lacking one thing to be really good - refills.

Let me say that the coffee is really good and it comes in this really heavy diner mug with advertising on it .. this is very popular in New England diners and I love it. In typical US style, the coffee doesn't come with the meal which I've learned not to let upset me. That said, at $2.25, please offer me a refill. That's the reason I took off a star because otherwise it was great.

I took the waitress' recommendations and I got the meat lovers omelette which was fluffy and meaty and all around tasty with some nice stringy cheese. I got the hash browns on the side with added garlic and onions for $1 more. This change converted what I'm sure would have been really crispy on the outside and soft on the inside potatoes to something akin to Pad Thai for breakfast. I REALLY enjoyed it but I love Pad Thai. If you don't, get em regular style and save a buck. The rye toast was the big kind, not those teeny end pieces which is a plus in my book as well.

Tax and tip brought us to $16 USD which is about par for the course. I'll go back to try the Portuguese french toast and I'll bring my celiac wife since the waitress said they do have gluten free bread.

My husband owns this establishment, and as I see no way to respond to SD's comments personally, I feel the need to do it here. I am so sorry for your feelings of disrespect, I know the staff well enough to believe it wasn't intended in that manner. We did have a brand new waitress, her first solo day on the floor yesterday. And I am sure that effected the service, she really had an excellent first day. I am fairly certain I remember you, sitting over by the shelf, your son was hoping for lunch. As I do not recall the coffee incident, I cannot speak to the particulars, but again I apologise for your feelings about the situation, and honestly can't believe it was racially motivated. I will speak to the staff that was on the floor yesterday regarding the incident, to assure we treat all customers equally. I hope that you will give us another chance, we strive to be an all inclusive...

I am known by some to be the Biggest Tipper💵💵 I love supporting local biz But after todays experience this place is Fired! Never have i been set back this far in my life! I visit this place occasionally, always enjoyed it. But i was told today "No take out" But i could dine in. ?? I said,,, no, i want two egg sandwiches to go.. After a little persistance They made the food for me. When the owner came out he said dont ever talk to my staff that way. I said I was not in anyway rude I am trying to support you. We almost had it calmed down and his daughter came out laying into me. About the nothing i just did! Sorry kid but,, go back to business management classes. cause you dont have what it takes yet. I wish you well but you lost my support! I tipped $15 bucks anyway
