I've have been to countless Vietnamese restaurants back home in Texas , and nor am I easily impressed, but I would have to say this is hands down the second best ! Everything about this place was top notch, from the moment we walked in we were punctually serviced, till the moment we left. The lemon infused water was refreshing and promptly refilled even before reaching halfway, the egg rolls and spring rolls flew out of the kitchen as quickly as we ordered , and the sauces , the sauces DONT DRIP! Telling me it that it was homemade and my pallet enjoyed every bit of it. As for the Bún Bò Huê, paired with the spicy thick red sauce sitting on the table and fresh Veggies , I was at a loss for words. Simple ingredients, complex flavors, all melting in my mouth and satisfying hunger and soul. To go even further, ordering the Bánh mi thit núóng was no mistake. The bread was fresh and had a very good subtle crisp to it and warm to the touch as if freshly made. The infamous red sauce was a must for the sandwich. The first bite made me crave the second even more. The pork mixed with veggies and red sauce was the perfect trifecta making every bite warm, crispy, spicy, and sweet. Needless to say, as long as I am in town, I will be stopping here at least a few times a week and when I go back to Texas, this place will be...
Read moreVery disapointed!! This is the first time me and my friends visit this restaurant. We saw the mark is high, so the food and service must not bad. First of all, the house of special is not good, the beed has some blood smell. Secondly which is the most disapointed my, when we paid our bill, the waitress added a 15% of services charge by herself without telling us. My husband thought we did not give service fee so he added another 10%. When I ask the waitress and she said the restaurant should take 15% of service fee when the customers number reach to 5 people. It is ridiculous, and non of the restaurant waiter or waitress add service fee themself without telling customers. Also she cheated. I want to see the receipt, and she said she asked my husband and my husband don't want it, so she destroyed it, she said she's new and she know nothing. also there's no record in the computer. and when I asked my husband my husband said she never asked if we want the receipt, she just ask if my husband want the credit card pay information. So basically we have 4 pho noodle, 2 cokes, cost us 90 dollor... I will never ever go to this...
Read moreAs visitors to Bellingham, this is my first time eating @ this restaurant. It was so disappointing. Food was served so quickly. My wife and son ordered Bun thit Tom Muong and it was like an amateur cooking for the first time. The shrimps were stale and so dry. The grilled pork was ok. Not fresh I would say. The Banh Mi was just ok and can’t compare to the ones I have eaten in Vancouver for a lesser price. There are not many dishes on their menu to select from. We come from Vancouver, British Columbia, and we have so many Vietnamese restaurants, and their food has never been disappointing as this one. We usually eat @ Pho Ly near Bellis Fair (very reasonable and fresh food) but decided to try out this place after seeing the good reviews. Will never go back again. Suggestion to the owner - do not serve reheated grilled shrimps. It...
