Went there with my girlfriend, mid week for lunch and only did so because Mangia was not open for lunch.
Interior was nice and open and they were busy for lunch. We decided to not wait for a table and chose to sit at the bar.
I applaud they have gluten free bread as an option and breakfast all day was nice but I decided to go with a BLT on Glutten free bread. They were out of kettle chips so I got the fires. My GF got a Hamburger and fries.
Sweet tea was not sweet- my GF's burger was "okay".
My BLT came on untoasted gluten free bread and the bartender practically argued with me that the bread was toasted "as much as it could be because Gluten free bread burns". I am a chef, the bread was cold, white and freshly cut- never touched the toaster.
It came with no mayo either, which I asked for. I asked for new bread and for this time to be toasted. About 10 minutes goes by and the Bartender asks me if I want to eat it as it is, or if I wanted new bread. Hello? I have been waiting for new bread for 10 minutes.
Another 10 goes by and he brings me our two slices, twice as thick as the first two, and heavy as a brick (as gluten free tends to be). It was warm, but STILL not toasted.
I asked him to just take it off the bill.
No apologies, no offer to get me something else.
Poor service...no gloves...a few hippie type dudes making food with crazy hair with no hair nets...
If there is an apocalypse and this is the only place open, I am sure it would be okay..however, with many other choices in a non-apocalyptic world do yourself a favor and...
Read moreThe food was pretty good and the atmosphere seemed relaxing. I was there at opening, so not many customers. Initial interaction with staff was pleasant; took me to my seat, put a vase of water with a small glass on the table, and asked me if I wanted anything else to drink. Now, mind you that at this point I was the only customer, so I ordered a coffee which came relatively quickly but, I mentioned above the vase of water, which I believe is their justification of not having to come back to check on you. The person I was meeting shows up and there we sat for about 30 minutes before we were asked if we wanted something to eat. We asked for menus but they do not give those out, you gotta scan a QR code to obtain said menu. Not really an issue if that info was provided on the front end and if we weren't already there for about 30 minutes prior to being asked if we wanted something to eat, not to mention not everyone has a smart phone and the elderly typically have no clue what a QR is other than they are letters in the alphabet. Still good food and a nice place overall, so I hope that all of the staff doesn't operate with the mindset of not having to check on their table as often, especially when there's not a whole bunch...

Horrible food and worse service.
Came in here an hour or so before closing with a party of 10. One other table was sat in the restaurant. Our first sign that things would be bad was when a girl in our party texted her boyfriend where we were eating and he said to leave, IMMEDIATELY. We ignored his advice.
Service was very slow. They have water pitchers on the table to "help" with refills and for 10 they brought out 2. We had to keep asking for more pitchers. But of course at that point, you have 10 empty glasses, so when you bring 2 out, you can't even refill everyone's and some still have to go without. The waitress never noticed so you would have to ask again for more. Over and over again.
Ten people got ten different things and everyone didn't like theirs. That's pretty impressive, that it wasn't one thing or type of food (like "Oh, avoid the Italian there!) but the whole menu that was pretty bad. They were also apparently swapping over to a different seasonal menu and were out of everything. Hope their next season is better, because this season was awful. I wouldn't think so though, since the place was dead empty on a Friday night at 8-9 o'clock when the rest of Franklin...
