We visited Sweet Angeles hoping to try something new. We usually go to Sweet Lady Jane or Bacio di Latte for dessert, but this place had great reviews, so we decided to give it a try.
The shop itself is beautiful, and the desserts looked delicious. We were excited to be there and asked for everything very politely. We even have birthdays coming up this month and were considering ordering cakes from here—but after our experience, unfortunately, that won’t be happening.
The male cashier reminded us—twice—that they were closing in 15 minutes, with a tone that felt more like a warning than a welcome. When I asked what a particular cupcake was (it looked like it had whipped cream), he cut me off rudely with, “It’s meringue.” Completely unnecessary attitude.
As a business owner myself, I know how damaging it is to have employees who treat some customers with kindness and others like they’re doing you a favor. I’ve lost business in the past because of staff like that. It’s frustrating to witness that kind of energy when we came in excited and respectful.
What stood out most was how differently he treated the next customer—suddenly friendly, warm, and accommodating. We are Mexican, casually dressed after running errands, and it was obvious we were treated differently. That shouldn’t happen anywhere, especially not at a premium-priced dessert shop.
Beautiful place, great-looking desserts—but service like that? No, thank you. I’ll gladly take my...
Read moreMy first time at Sweet Angeles was in March. There were so many cupcake flavors to choose from—it was awesome! What really blew me away was how tasty and flavorful the cupcakes were. Before, I used to get cupcakes for parties from Sprinkles but they were always too sweet and dry. My friends and family weren't big fans either. But once I tried Sweet Angeles cupcakes, everything changed! Now, not only do I get their delicious desserts, cupcakes, and brownies (my fave!), but so do my friends and their friends! Sweet Angeles desserts taste super fresh and full of flavor, especially the chocolate Ganache and chocolate peanut buttercream —they're not too sweet, just perfect. Thanks for doing such an amazing job! I'm a happy regular customer now, and I'm telling everyone to check out this awesome bakery for all their sweet cravings, party desserts,cakes,...
Read moreAs you probably know by now, I ended up here completely by chance—and what a lovely coincidence it was! 🌸 First of all, the place is tucked away in a quiet corner of Rodeo Collection. As I walked in, I was greeted by the sweetest guy at the counter, welcoming me with a big smile. He kindly helped me choose a dessert from the display, and in the end, I went with the hazelnut and caramel one—very cute (though a bit too gelatinous for my taste). I also ordered a hot chocolate, which was absolutely delicious! Even though the weather was warm at the beach, it was worth every sip. In addition, I tried the strawberry cheesecake, which was very tasty, and a coconut cupcake that was just adorable! If you’re spending the day strolling around Rodeo, I highly recommend stopping by—take a little break from the noise and enjoy a sweet moment. Thank you for the warm...
