I was picking up food for someone who called and placed the order before hand and when i got there it was not ready and i was asked to repeat my order so i had to get my phone to ask what the order was the guy seemed irritated by that. Even tho the order should have been ready already. Then the chef/owner comes out and asks what was my order again! I finally got my order and all was good at least so i thought . I took it home my friend didnt like her food said the chicken tasted like regular baked chicken bland and dry. So we called the restaurant and the owner Mr. Brown acted like it was okay and he said to bring it back for a full refund. I went back and sat for about 5 minutes before he came out hostile and talked down to me and also raised his voice at times. And at a point offered for me to go to the back he must have thought i was stupid to go in the back room with an angry man but anyways after saying he wouldnt give the refund and he trying to give me a lecture like im a child he eventually gave me the refund when i told him he said to come back and he would give the refund and told me to keep the food which got thrown away anyways i wish i could upload the voice audio to here i got of the way he was speaking to me. Im sure if i was a man he wouldnt have even tried to speak to me the way that he did I would have been glad if he handled it professionally instead of the way that he did. it could have been a bad batch of food but if he would have handled it more professionally my friends and maybe even myself probably would have returned to try again. He also pointed out that he only has good reviews on google but you can remove reviews for your company on google if you go and check yelp there are some not so...

Great food! I worked in Kingston, Jamaica for several years, and this was even better than what I enjoyed there. Very authentic and excellent flavors. We tried multiple entrees and liked everything. The curry chicken was delicious - a thick savory sauce but not overpowering as some Indian curries are. BBQ ribs are perhaps the best I have had - super tender and full of flavor. The ribs are covered in a sweet southern style barbecue sauce. If you are leary of "different foods" start with the ribs and baked beans - you won't be disappointed. The oxtails were terrific. Don't let the name worry you - these are an extremely tender and flavorful cut of bone-in beef braised in a delicious gravy. Pair the oxtails with the rice and steamed cabbage for a hearty meal. If you want something lighter, the escovitch fish is also delicious. The fish is mildly seasoned and sauted with peppers and vegetables. Don't miss the delicious buttery rum cake. This is an example of a restaurant that picked the best dishes and limited the menu to those few. There is only one entree we didn't try and that was the jerk chicken. This is a Jamaican restaurant and things happen SLOWLY in Jamaica, so expect to give the staff more time than you would for an American resturaunt. It will take longer for you to be seated, waited on and served than you may be used to - this isn't rude, but it is authentic. Be patient, and you will have an amazing...

I don't understand how there isn't a line out of this place everyday. I went (based on a local's recommendation) on a Tuesday afternoon around 1:30. I was the only person in there, except the owner and a couple of his friends at a table. He immediately greeted me in true Jamaican friendly fashion. I got the jerk chicken along with rice & peas and steamed cabbage. A few mins later, a tower of food arrived. He asked if I wanted any "gravy" on my rice & peas, and I said ( just a little). What I didn't know is that gravy was his curry chicken. My father is from south India. We share many of the same spices/ingredients as Jamaicans (west indies). My father loved Jerk seasoning, so I've had my fill of it in my life. The easiest way to describe this food is that I would label it as "competition worthy." I think CB's could win awards with his amazing craft. If I lived nearby, I honestly think I'd be here at least once a week. I love that the menu is very limited. All it does is make your ordering process much easier. It's also a steal (price wise). You can EASILY get 2 meals out of one. Everything is served in take out containers. Run, don't walk...

My friend and I came all the way from Hattiesburg to try this place we heard about on the radio so we headed down and we were not disappointed. I had gotten the Curry Chicken with Brioche bread and baked beans while my friend had the Authentic Jamaican Jerk Chicken (w/ a tangy bbq sauce) with the rice and peas and steamed cabbage. Both were absolutely amazing. The chicken was very tender and the flavors were on point. After that we decided to get their rum cake dessert and it was the best we had ever had. The cake was very moist and didn’t have a overpowering rum taste. It was perfect. The bathroom was very clean and well kept along with the restaurant, and customer service was a 10/10. Would absolutely bring my friends here to eat again.

We salute the crew at CB's Jamaican restaurant! I ordered food for a retirement function, and the food was excellent. My thanks go out to Mr. CB for helping me prepare food and for the reasonable price for the quantity of food I purchased. My family and friends were making plates to take home because the food was outstanding. Everyone enjoyed the flavors of the food and asked where the restaurant was located. My sister in Texas ordered more food for her return to Texas. There are many tasty items on the menu, but oxtails are one of the best. My choice for the best restaurant in the MS Gulf Coast location will be CB's Jamaican Jerk & BBQ. My sincere respect goes out to Mr. CB!
