Bentley's Pancake House — Restaurant in Bloomingdale

My wife and I love to come here for breakfast/brunch. They have such delicious items for anything involving breakfast. It is when they cook lunch/dinner that they fall flat. The steaks tend to be smaller and chewy (even when asked for medium). The prices for steak aren't that bad, though. AVOID this place after 2pm. TL:DR: Bad food and horrible management. The young manager they had a few days ago is defensive and does not know good customer service. I ordered Marsala Chicken and noodles because it offered prosciutto ham. Only when I got the meal, there was no prosciutto found, even though it is the third item listed. When I asked for the ham, they came back saying "...We don't have anymore." Even the waitress agreed that had they told her there was no ham left, she would have come back and told me and asked if I would like to substitute. When she asked if I would like anything else instead, I didn't see any reason to wait twenty minutes to eat something else I didn't really want, so I asked for my prosciutto-less plate back. When I just wanted to touch base with this young manager about his waitstaff and kitchen staff having better communication, he seemed too interested in avoiding eye contact and looking out the window than at me. He then said "Well they asked if you wanted anything else, and you didn't switch. So..." alluding to the fact that if I had not liked the dish I could have changed. This is irregardless to the matter. Then he says "We've never had prosciutto for this dish and never served it." "...Then why is it on the menu to trick customers?" "Things will be changing..." I didn't want a free meal, but a discount would have been nice than to feel duped by their trickery. The family behind us said their kebabs were soaked in water and tough. That the salad was even bad. The husband then said "...Well the water was good, at least." There were only three tables occupied in an otherwise swamped restaurant, so I should have known from that to stay away. Coming for breakfast only...after...

We have had a lot of issues when we order here for pickup. Sunday we thought we would try it again so I placed an order for pick up and once again the order was wrong. They made the sandwich wrong after I asked the girl who took the order to make sure it was correct and they forgot to include our soups. I called and tried to explain to the owner / manager what had happened and he was the rudest person I ever spoke to on the phone, didn't offer any correction just rude and then hung up on me while I was talking. I was being really nice and just wanted him to know so hopefully he could fix the miscommunication from his order taker to the kitchen but instead he just hung up. It is a shame in this day and time that a restaurant would treat their patrons so poorly. I nor my family will ever spend another dime in this place since there are so many other restaurants that truly appreciate...

Ordered a burger and it came out with American cheese. Said I wanted cheddar so the waitress took it back and brought it out a minute later with the American cheese scrapped off and a load of cold shredded cheddar on the cold burger. I was so confused and have never felt this disrespected at a restaurant before. Said I don't even want to eat you can take this back to the kitchen. Bill came and they charged $6 for the little side salad that came with the burger. Management and wait staff was terribly rude. Never come here. I feel bad for the bus and maintenance staff because they were very polite and friendly. Overall, there are much better places in terms of atmosphere, service, and quality of food in the area.
