This sweet restaurant is good vibes all around. Though the interior has some cool spaces, we tend to enjoy their outdoor patio for fair-weather meals. Service has been nothing but kind, helpful, and attentive every time we've gone. On our last visit, we were jonesing for happy hour and asked for the drink menu, only to discover they don't serve alcohol but they're BYOB. "And there's a wine and liquor store only two blocks away," our smiling server whispered conspiratorially. It was a genius idea. While we waited on our order, my husband jetted out for a 6-pack of Modelos and got back just as our chicken salad was being set down on the table. We asked for it to be timed as an appetizer, and I'd say the serving size might be closer to an appetizer than an entree. But the chicken pieces were well-marinated and delicious, making the salad a meaty entry point into our shared steak fajitas. These fajitas are a winner winner chicken - er, steak - dinner. Since we got it done medium well (my preferred doneness - feel free to judge me for it), I was worried about the steak being tough but these were tender enough for both my husband and I to emit a simultaneous "wow" at first bites. The sauce on them was also incredible, so much that we asked our server about it when he checked on us mid-meal. He crossed his heart and demurred, "It's a secret, so I can't really tell you," but when we pressed for more information, he admitted us the main base was "lots of tomatoes". Well, whatever's in that magic sauce was good enough for us to drag our spoons against the near-empty fajita plate, trying to get every last drop of it. My husband and I have visited twice now, and our order has ranged from good to excellent (with those steak fajitas being the high winner thus far). There are a few parking spots in the front lot but being that this is in a quiet, residential area, there's plenty of parking to be found on the side streets if necessary.

Honestly not what I expected. The food and salsa are good. The chips aren’t bad but could use some salt. The cost is a little more than I would expect but the food looks the cost. Good quality guacamole, it was perfectly limed and cilantro’d. I think I only have two complaints. The first is the BYOB policy. The restaurant serves no alcohol but before I went I did not see an indication of this on their website. It is posted on their door but I didn’t notice until I was leaving. The second was the size of the salsa. It was maybe three tablespoons which was unfortunate because it was a great house made salsa. Definitely go here for good cuisine and customer service but if you want your common Mexican restaurant experience this may not be the place for you! Still 100% worth checking out!

Five out of five! Everything from the decor, the service and the food is excellent. The food here is so fresh. Everything is made in house. This place is phenomenal. They make all of their sauces at the restaurant. I had the pollo a la braza from the special and it was delicious. It’s a little spicy but not too spicy. The grilled chicken was seasoned with a cilantro bbq avocado sauce and some chorizo at the bottom and it came with a small side of rice and beans. My hubs had the steak fajita which came in a sizzling plate and the tortillas came in a little hat. This is an authentic Mexican restaurant. Plus it’s BYOB! We will be back.

As nice and cozy hole in the wall Restaurant this might be the staff especially the owners son who is the waiter at this restaurant are so not friendly or welcoming. I decided to have a small dinner celebration here with 9 people and did not feel that we received the treatment that we deserved as paying costumers. This restaurant is a "BYOB" but if you "bring your own bottle" you cannot drink any liquor straight from a glass they want you to mix it with soda or one of their beverages which is not stated anywhere on their website or in the Restaurant. They also added a whopping 20% gratuity automatically to our bill for such unfriendly service as to where I would have given them a pity 15%. Anyone who knows how flan should taste or look knows the bottom and top should not be burned to where the top and bottom forms a skin crust and separates from the rest of the flan LOL AWFUL!!

As a group of 9 we were talking to each other and kids were trying to have a good time but the staff started flickering the lights on and off in our area which I thought was RUDE! I can go on but all I can say is that I wont be going back! Perhaps after reading this review they can throw on a fake smile on to their bitter faces and show a little gratitude to the customers coming in who are keeping them in business. We are Latinos and was hoping that we would get better treatment from our own people. We were so WRONG!! We didn't even get a thank you as we left the restaurant. I get better treatment at McDonalds! If you want better Authentic Mexican food go to Taco Bell! Seriously don't waste your...

I was there to celebrate a special moment with the family. After a beautiful day we decided to have dinner at Riviera. However, the rude service, the lackluster attitude, and inconsistency in the quality of the food ruined our celebration. The second tableside guacamole was terrible, the Chimichangas looked like a large Chinese eggroll, and overall the food lacked true Mexican flavor. They supervise your drink when it comes to the BYOB, where you are treated like a child. One of our guests was called out and scolded like a child because our liquor was not mixed with enough soda, keep in mind that we are adults. The environment is NOT family friendly. They did not like the fact that the children were enjoying themselves. There was no one else in the restaurant when my party of nine was having dinner, therefore no one could have complained. One would think that a Mexican family restaurant would know how to cater to a family orientated celebration. Men with deep voices cannot laugh in this restaurant, if your laugh is too deep, they will start to flash the lights over your table in order to get your attention or have you lower your laugh. HOW RUDE WAS THAT!!!. Live music Thursday and Friday, I will never know what the restrictions are because I will not be returning. I like my music in a non-monotone level. If you want to know what it feels like to dine at a library, where you can't express yourself in a celebratory manner, have dinner at...
