I recently celebrated my birthday at a Mission On Fire with my family, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The atmosphere was inviting, with plenty of seating that allowed us to enjoy our time together comfortably. However, the food quality varied quite a bit. Some dishes were excellent, like the chicken and steak, which several of my sisters raved about. The steak tips also received high praise, making it a good spot for those looking to indulge in a hearty meal. On the downside, our experience was marred by a few unfortunate incidents. There were a gnat buzzing around, which was quite off-putting, especially when I found a hair in my fries. To top it off, the gnat was walking around in chocolate syrup on my plate with my brownie and s'mores dessert which left a bad impression. Our server was exceptional, though. He was attentive, helpful, and sincerely apologized for the issues I faced. His service definitely elevated the experience, making us feel taken care of despite the food mishaps. The price was on the higher side at $115 per person for our group of eight, which felt a bit steep, especially considering the food inconsistencies. The location is convenient, with ample parking options available nearby, making it easier for guests to visit. For those looking to catch a game, the bar-style section of the restaurant is a nice touch. While my birthday celebration wasn't as perfect as I had hoped, the highlights were the delicious chicken, the attentive service, and the lovely company of my sisters, mother, and cousins. I would recommend this place for the steak lovers and those looking for a casual spot, but be prepared for a few unexpected surprises.

I don’t normally write reviews but wanted to share my experience. 1st let me start by saying I’m very thankful for being the Valentines free dinner that I won through IG . So as we entered and was greeted by the host and gave my information you would think that I’d have some notes written regarding being a winner and a nice table for 2 maybe white linen as it being a Valentine’s Dinner would be set and ready I’d don’t know maybe it’s just what I would’ve done to make it a bit more special, It was me and my wife and the host was gonna sit us at table for 4 and I asked to be seated at a booth and he sat us at one thank you , The manager came over and said I enjoy the evening have fun and so it began The food was delicious we had 3 appetizers the Calamari & Fiery shrimp (I would suggest the bread on the side) for dipping we also had the Lobster Empanadas and everything was flavorful. We then received our entrees I had the Mission Paella and my wife had the Churasco steak , it was cooked to perfection. The portions were very generous and simply delicious. We also had dessert I had the chocolate cookie with the ice cream and my wife had the Creme Brule and she couldn’t stop raving about how delicious it was and not to mention the House Sangria was also delicious. The manger for that evening was very welcoming and kept coming over to check if everything was going well and making sure our experience was great. So all in all the food was Delicious and I recommend having dinner or just sit at the cool bar , Thanks for experience We will be returning in the near future and trying other menu options . Thanks again

I'm sorry to write a mediocre review, but everyone in our party agreed it was disappointing. The restaurant is relatively upscale, conveniently located by an intersection of main streets, with a free parking lot. The interiors are beautiful and elegant, great bar in the middle, comfortable seating. We went there on a Monday evening, the place was mostly empty and we had the whole private room, which was convenient for conversations. The service was a bit slow, it took longer than normal to get the food, water refill etc. The food was disappointing, all dishes were way too salty. I took the taco bowl and couldn't eat half the steak since it was also burned. The rice tasted weird and the beans were no better than at any taqueria. The others also hardly finished their plates, since the food was really not great. The restrooms were clean, spacious and elegant, but I felt like I got punched in the belly when I saw the paintings on the bathroom walls. Surrealistic images of burning people, probably as part of the "On Fire" theme but quite horrible, can easily trigger PTSD for anyone who has experienced the horrors of wildfires or war. I would advise the management to replace the paintings with something more calm and pleasant. The bottom line was around $60 per person including tip and basic drinks (beer, wine, soda), no dessert (!) We all thought it was too high; for that price you could get a much better experience at other restaurants, like Seasons 52 in Chestnut Hill.

I am not sure what Mission on Fire is trying to be. Seems like they have a lot of different cuisines and nothing of note. I might come back for the bar and pizza but would not do an entree again there. For the amount of money we spent, the food was very disappointing. Ordered a paella and a shrimp churazzo The paella was tasteless, the seafood pretty bland, and the rice really soggy. The churazzo shrimp was very non descript and was delivered without the chimichurra. Isn't that kind of the point of the churazza? On the service side, I would have given 2.5 stars not 3, but didn't think it was a 2. the other member of my party gave it a 2 for service. I guess I'm generous. The main server was very nice but there were some major misses overall. First, the appetizer plate was not removed prior to the dinner being delivered. So the paella came without a serving utensil and no plate for me to serve from the hot pan. Now i know some people might eat right from the pan, but there was some anticipated sharing going on at our table. The server dropped it off and quickly turned away; I tried to ask for a utensil and plate, but she had turned her back so quickly that I could not get her attention. absolutely not even one second of checking the delivery after dropping it on the table and leaving. There were 5 servers clustered in the back hanging around, not watching customers, and several with their backs to the customers and completely blocking the view of the other servers who were facing customers; I had to wave for several minutes till someone noticed me. When someone finally came over, I asked for a serving utensil, and this person did the same thing as the person who dropped off the paella - turned and left. I wanted a plate too, but they didn't give me a chance to say what i wanted - assumed all i wanted was a serving utensil. What was I going to serve it onto, i had no plate! He was halfway to the kitchen when he finally heard me asking him to wait and come back. I finally got a plate and serving utensil. Our server was not around when our food came to make sure it was all fine, which it wasn't. there was no chimichurra, which took yet another block of time to get someone to bring. Our server missed out on a second round of drinks for one of the people in my party as she never bothered to ask. She also never actually asked how the food was. If she had looked at the amount of paella left, she might have caught on that it wasn't very tasty. I declined a box to take home, and even that didn't trigger a question. We asked for a dessert menu, which was brought even before the completed dinner dishes were taken away. I would have liked the dinner dishes removed before a dessert menu was dropped in the middle of the table amongst the dirty dishes. Overall, a disappointing birthday meal. Def not what I would have expected food quality wise for...
