I 100% absolutely, completely, entirely, enthusiastically LOVE Tacos 4 Life.
I've been to Brentwood a few times for work and Tacos 4 Life has become my standard evening meal. I usually stay pretty close and it's located in a very nice area with some other awesome eateries.
One of the things I like the best about Tacos 4 Life is that one of the primary tenets of their existence is to feed hungry children. Roughly 24¢ is donated to Feed My Starving Children for each meal purchased. This is NOT a small thing. In fact, this is the opposite of small. It's HUGE. I wish there was more of this kind of thing in the world. On my most recent visit the count for donated meals for the Brentwood locations was over 113,000.
Tacos 4 Life is brightly decorated restaurant that was, on my latest visit, nicely decorated for Christmas. The very first song I heard when I walked in the door was A-Ha's "Take On Me". When great 80s plays when I walk into an eatery I always take it as a good sign.
This is an order-at-the-counter, here's-your-number-we'll-bring-it-to-you kind of p place. The menu has a great selection from soups to nachos, all freshly prepared. You can order a la carte or as a meal. They also offer a selection of beer to accompany your meal.
On each of my visits I noticed the age of the staff working here, and they looked upper high school to college age. I was told by a teammate that the owners of this location tend to hire people around this age to help them get started. The staff has always been super helpful and super awesome during my super visits. There are usually a number of team members visible doing everything from taking orders to making sure the dining is clean and well stocked.
I've tried a few different tacos, but my favorite is the Sweet and Spicy BBQ Pork Taco. Normally I'm not a fan of barbecue anything on a taco, but the addition of the fried jalapeños offset it enough to make me a fan. Making it a meal, I also had the Classic Beef taco. The use of pico de gallo instead of tomato on items like this gives it a much more rich, adventurous taste. Lastly, a side salad to round out my combo. A fountain Dr. Pepper® (my go-to) to drink and Jim is all kinds of happy. The food has always been great and I've never had a problem.
I always look forward to my trips to Brentwood because I really look forward to dinner at Tacos 4 Life. You...
Read moreThe food was incredible, but the service was even better. It was truly inspirational to see Tacos4Life’s commitment to service and their passion for their extraordinary food. The dining experience was just as good with clean tables, clean floors, and clean bathrooms. The owner came up and had a conversation with me making sure I enjoyed the food which truly shows how much they care about their customers and the family like dynamic they seek to create at their establishment. Located in Brentwood, it is incredibly difficult to start and run a restaurant to the high standards expected of the residents, but Tacos4Life somehow found a way to not only exceed, but reset the expectations! Would recommend 10 times out of 10, definitely one of my favorite restaurants I have...
Read moreWe just love this cute taco place that hits the mark on all levels. The menu for various tacos has a huge variety. We especially like the vegan/vegetarian avocado tacos. Two tacos may even be too much for the average eater. The salad and dressings were excellent. The atmosphere is trendy and relaxed and service is usually excellent and available. The take out orders are super quick, we only waited about 2-3 minutes and barely sat down. It gets crowded for lunch, and rather empty throughout the rest of the day, at least when I’m there. We really enjoy this place especially knowing buying one meal charitably...
