We were so lucky to find this little gem on our recent trip to Boston. I was hungry for a good old-fashioned breakfast of eggs, pancakes and hashbrowns and did not want to spend $15 for it. The Busy Bee was a 6 block walk from the Buckminster Hotel in the opposite direction of Fenway. Their pancakes have changed my pancake eating experience forever. They use a Swedish pancake type of recipe and I may spend the rest of my life attempting to duplicate it. The atmosphere of the place is like a 1960s type diner with a breakfast bar and the grills right out front where you can see your food being prepared. They are not attempting to replicate this atmosphere. You can tell this is how the diner has looked and been run for decades. Some other reviewers have mentioned that the owner will sometimes go on rants, and it is true; we got to witness it! But I didn't feel it detracted at all...I loved it! The Busy Bee is a very honest, down to earth, affordable, and good place to eat. We ate there 2 days in a row and would have gone back for a third if we didn't have to get to the airport. Highly recommend!!!
