Shade Tree Cafe — Restaurant in Broussard

First time going, last time going. The waitress that worked Friday after noon. Greeted us with what do you want, then turned around to argue with her staff in the ktichen about how she was, “Already on it.” She turned around rolling her eyes. After that she told us if we wanted to eat we would have to get the special or wait half and hour I replied no thanks I’m in a time crunch and she just kind of looked at me stupid like she couldn’t believe I was leaving and she started to look at my grandmother in a very rude way. And we left, and never return. The food looked good. But the service was more than awful. If she treated the other customers like she did us she will lose a lot of business for the restraunt. I had been hearing about this place for a while and I decided to give it a try. The only thing I am upset with is myself for not going sooner. Since trying it I've brought a couple of my friends there. None of us have had anything that we didn't love. It is the perfect place to grab lunch or dinner because the outside seating is absolutely beautiful. The owner as well as the staff are amazing and hospitable. I called in a late order (around 8:15) and when I went to go pick it up as I was looking inside the order window, the kitchen was immaculate and extremely clean and to me that shows not only care for the customers but also pride in his cooking. So we are still heading home but just like when we was in Texas and never saw Dallas and Houston we realized we never visited New Orleans either so instead of going home we are heading to Orleans now … We still had some money left over from working those few gig jobs the other day so we decided to stop here and was glad we did

Oh my goodness, what a cute little place this is man … Absolutely adorable … And the food here is delicious with a capital D … They had a 100 health rating as well … The employees here was super awesome sauce...
