My family & I went to Opa! in Campbell on Saturday night to celebrate my mom's 75th birthday after I made a 7:30pm outdoor seating reservation on OpenTable. We arrived at 7:30 on the dot (we would've been a few minutes early if the restaurant actually had clear, visible signage on the exterior of the building) & were immediately told, although our reservation had been received, they didn't have the outdoor part noted in their system.

The host then tried to seat us at the table in the far back right corner of the restaurant that appeared to be near the bathrooms. When I complained, we went back to the front of the restaurant & waited for the host to grab the General Manager, Thomas K. I dashed outside to inform my parents about what was going on while my husband & daughter waited patiently by the host stand hoping to get the situation quickly & easily resolved.

While standing there, my husband clearly heard the conversation between the host & Thomas. After the host told Thomas we booked an outdoor table, he simply said "Nope. Don't give it to them" most likely not realizing that my husband was a member of the party they were discussing. My husband proceeded to tell Thomas he was extremely rude & we were incredibly unhappy but Thomas did not care.

Then, I re-entered the conversation & stated that, if we had to sit inside, we didn't want the table in the far back corner of the restaurant near the bathrooms to which Thomas replied "That isn't where the bathrooms are" & I said "Well, it looks like it is".

We asked the host how long it'd be for any other table inside & he said 35-45 minutes. I gave him my phone number so they could text me with updates but, after about 10 minutes of waiting outside, we decided we didn't want to eat there anymore anyway. They did end up texting me about 30 minutes later, but we'd already left & found another restaurant (aka Opa! in Willow Glen lol) that was MUCH more accommodating. We had a perfectly lovely experience at the Opa in WG but the one in Campbell isn't worth your time, money or trouble.
