I am a longtime fan of this franchise, it was disappointing to see their share of shortfalls and closures of some of their locations - which is a real shame for what this restaurant gives you.
Two and a half years to come back after disappointing news of closure after closure in my immediate area, I was relieved to find one last location open in the area, Canton. So, I gathered my friends, coordinated with each other and prepared ourselves for a great meal.
The Good: Perhaps some of the healthiest choices out there for building your own stir fry. Edamame, Onions, Water Chestnuts, Carrots, well... you get the idea. Clean and well maintained by the staff - no spills, clean tongs, surfaces continually wiped down. Meats kept well, in their own containers and nothing looking sickly, off temperature or low quality. Cook quality and allergy considerations are always seen to by the grill attendants, offering up friendly banter and entertaining the patrons while waiting for the food.
The Bad: The area is busy, really busy... across the street from Ikea and other large shopping venues. So traffic can be a bit daunting to navigate through or around - but, you take the good with the bad.
Honestly, nothing else really bad here, great food and a great time. It does get a bit noisy when things pick up, but hey... what do you expect in an open style stir fry grill?
With less and less options of this place still remaining for the public to enjoy, I can only hope that this location remains open for years to come. Always one of my favorite places to go, have a great meal the way I like it, enjoy it with those I love and have lots of great conversation and laughs while doing it.
As for me, I will emphatically continue to come here, in the hopes that it sticks around - great food, great time, great ingredients... and so should you, it's an experience to enjoy whether it is your first time... or your 30th time (and yes, I have and will continue to keep count).
And so should you, who knows? Here's to hoping it'll become a favorite...
Read moreI have been dining here for years. It is always a nice place to dine with my family I have a very large family and this restaurant use to be very reasonable with their prices. Until yesterday, I brought 6 children with. 10,10,6,6,1,1. They gave us new smaller child sized bowls for the children. The lunch price for children is $6.99 for the all you can eat stir-fry, at least that is what it says on the menu. All of my children wanted more food since the bowl they were given only holds about 4 ounces of food. We asked for more bowls and was given them, then my children went back up and created another bowl for themselves. They also enjoyed some And some oranges from the salad bar. We all ate pretty well the food was great. Once we got our bill it was much higher than normal. We had been charged for every child including our one year olds for the adult one bowl price $12.99, plus each child had an additional charge for $1.99 for the soup and salad. I did ask my server and she told me that since they had more than one bowl of the children's sized bowls, they have to be changed as an adult. This is not what it says on the menu for children. There is no disclaimer stating if your child eats more then you will be charged more. It also says that children under 3 eat free. My one year old twins were changed $14.99 each. While asking and learning of these new policies a Manager came by and reinforced this new policy. she mentioned she has been asking corporate to send new menus with the updated policy. This information is not written down anywhere. The server did not inform us that our bill was going to change if we requested more bowls for our children. We expected to pay about $75 for the eight of us but ended up paying $147. Due to the "NEW POLICIES" that are not written...
Read moreI was looking for a place where I could get lots of veggies without ordering a salad and still taste good. At BD's, you can choose what foods you want to eat. So I was able to get chicken with a pile of delicious veggies. I wish I had taken a picture of what my bowl looked like before they cooked it. It was loaded. Since I have food allergies, I had my bowl prepared in the allergen section. They were super careful and did a great job keeping my food safe. I wish I had asked for it to be cooked "crisp- tender", instead of letting them cook it down. It was delicious and still mostly healthy. You are able to add your own sauces and seasonings to your bowl if you wish. The atmosphere was not super great - lots of tvs and not much else. Even though we had ours cooked in the allergen section, it came out pretty fast. We went from being seated to walking out in less than an hour. It's not terrible for the food you get since if you order the bowl- you pick what goes in it. Plenty of meat options & non-meat (tofu, tempura and vegetarian chicken). Lots of veggies and different sauces to choose from as well as spices that you can add. They also offer white or brown rice or tortillas to go along with your bowl. I am not eating either right now so we ordered ours on the side. All & all a good experience- tasty food that you pick (unless you order off the menu) and...
