Mother's Day 2025 was a disaster. I honestly felt embarrassed for the establishment because I know they can do better. Our party had reservations, we checked in 5+mins prior to & was told we had a 1-1.5hr wait because they were also accommodating priority seating with the reservations. Mind you, we had 2 people in our party that are ADA and the accommodations from beginning to end did not fit ADA standards. Only 4 or 5 handicap parking spaces for the whole establishment. The entry way was continuous packed with 20-30+ people within an 6'x6' space. The hostess stand had 3+ people up there & it seemed like there was NO direction, NO management, nothing. We were sat after 35mins of waiting past our time. Our party of 6, 2 being handicap- 1 with a walker, were forced to sit in a low booth when there were open tables and high tops available. Use common sense folks, it's priceless! The whole set up was a Fire Marshall's dream for fines and a direct safe plan for all types of events. The buffet was set up front behind the hostess stand, near the bar. So the line for food wrapped around the bar area (around another area over by more tables and the bathrooms), forcing patrons to stand in front of other guests tables while they tried to eat their Mothers Day meals. Servers squeezing by with hot dishes/pans yelling "hot pan!" Only inches from guests standing in line. Waiting in line for food was 20mins+ at any given time. My grandmother with her walker couldn't stand that long, many others with walkers & wheelchairs that couldn't utilize the buffet because there wasn't enough space to do so. Dishes weren't being properly cleaned in the back of house so when a new stack came up front, more than half got picked over because of filth left behind on plates. Also, if the back of the house was any representation today of how this event went... I think it was spot on. No organization, cleaning sub par, inadequate spacing/seating, lack of management it seemed. Don't allow the door to the back of your house be left open while you have customers wrapped around the dining area standing in line observing EVERYTHING. If you can't host an event adequately in the front and the back, don't do it. This is the 2nd year in a row. And we came back hoping you all learned from last year's mistakes. Waitstaff all seemed like they were bothered to be working, forced to do so, no guidance or reassurance, etc. I saw maybe 2 staff members smile the whole time we were there and 1 was a young busser who was humming, sweet as can be and having a grand ol' time. Do Better! The last thing us Mom's, Grandmother's and Aunties wanted was to stand around for 30+mins past our reservation times, stand in line another 20+ mins for food and have a bad experience, bad atmosphere, surrounded by pure chaos. The saving grace was the bartenders drinks and some of the food... when it was actually available at the buffet and not waiting 15+ mins for the food pans to...
Read moreUpdate: following the response I received on this review, I emailed them as requested. They apologized and for an address so they could send us a “care package” as a way of apology. We were shocked when we received this so called care package, aka a BOGOF coupon on the 12 oz sirloin!!! In other words, come spend more money here the way we tell you to spend it so we can apologize to you by giving you a discount… NO thank you!!!
Original review: We visited this restaurant for my nephew's birthday a few nights ago. The host didn’t even smile while "greeting" and directing us to our table! Benefit of doubt; maybe she was having a bad day!
There were nine of us in total, and we were told that they don't seat more than eight people at one table and set table for the ninth person at a neighbouring table half a metre away... very odd! There might've been a reason for this "policy" but no explanation was offered to justify the inconvenience. We were initially seated at high tables and ended up moving ourselves and everything on our tables to a low one since we had a small child with us, and placed the ninth chair at the end of the same table as everyone else. Our server was also rather serious and disinterested too. Perhaps she was having a bad day too??! It was quite cold in the patio, considering that there was a huge party booked in there shortly after our arrival, so we asked another host to turn on the heater. Nothing happened, so we asked another server and finally one of us went in and asked again till we eventually got some heat. These other staff members mentioned above, were quite unpleasant too. There was in fact only one person out of the five, that we spoke to, who was polite, pleasant and approachable. Cut the long story short, after food we requested that our table would be cleared (common sense) before they brought out the Black Rock Volcano for the birthday boy. That didn’t happen, and we had to use the table next to us to take pictures. Our main server WARNED us that we weren’t allowed to stand in the doorway (with no traffic whatsoever) to take our pics. By that point, we were so done with her attitude that just handed her a phone and asked her to take the said photo! Funny thing is, even one of the kids commented “why is she so angry with us?”! I know people have bad days, and you never know what someone’s going through but 4 members of staff working the same shift in the same restaurant having a horrible day is a hell of a coincidence! This was truly an unforgettable birthday celebration but for all the...
Read moreI’ve never had such a horrible experience at a restaurant in my life. On 12/14/24 I drove 45 minutes to meet my family for dinner. When we arrived it was about 30% full - so not busy. It took 75 minutes for us to receive our meals which included 3 steaks (uncooked) and blackened salmon. The waitress, Keyanna told us multiple times that the food would be right out, but then it never came. After 2 times saying this, she came over and once again mentioned that they were playing the food, but there was a shift meeting that she had to attend, so it’d be delayed until that was over. All in all, it took over an hour to receive food that wasn’t even prepared.
Here’s the biggest issue. I have a gluten allergy, so when ordering, I expressed to the waitress my concerns. She ensured my Blackened Salmon would be Gluten Free. When my Salmon arrived to the table, I asked again to be sure if the glaze on the salmon was Gluten Free, & she confirmed that it was. A few minutes into eating the salmon, she comes back to our table holding a plate of salmon and says “here’s your gluten free prepared salmon.” I immediately had to spit out all my food. I was served a glazed salmon that contained gluten even though I confirmed with her TWICE that there was no gluten. The waitress did not apologize once or ask if I was even ok.
The manager Marissa came over to address the issue and apologize. At this point, my allergy was beginning to flare up, so it was far too late. She did apologize, but she cracked jokes about cursing at the kitchen staff, as if that made things any better. Even after I had received my new salmon, the side was incorrect. In addition to all of this, 2 out of the 3 stones were not hot enough, so it took ridiculously long to cook the steaks.
I’m not one to complain at all, and I understand that the service industry isn’t always perfect, but this experience was so bad from the moment we ordered to nearly 2 hours later when we left. I will never return to this restaurant, and I urge anyone with food allergies to stay away, because they clearly do not take proper precautions. Luckily, my allergic reaction wasn’t severe, but this kind of negligence can lead to something far worse than what I...
