Minglewood Brewery — Restaurant in Cape Girardeau

UPDATE: We returned again for the Muddy River Marathon in Cape Girardeau. Hopped in twice to eat while in town. Excellent service and the food was just as good as last time. Absolutely love this place.

Food: Excellent. We were specifically referred to Minglewood for pizza by the locals. We were not disappointed. The pizzas are 10" personal thin crust. They have a ton of variety of toppings. The star of this pizza is the crust. I will butcher what they ACTUALLY do but it has something to do with the grain, the hops from the brewery and adding it to the pizza dough... it works. I can't wait to be back in Cape Girardeau for another pizza. SALAD - The salad was a good but basic starter salad. It was pretty big, delicious. Loved it.

Service: We were fortunate to meet Amber while we were there. She was never without a smile, was very helpful, and seemed to genuinely care about what she did. We were very well taken care of

Atmosphere: Minglewood was everything we were told it was. Good music, great environment, everything was clean, and we felt like we belonged. The people running this place definitely care about it.

Overall: Look, we don't drink alcohol but we like good food and definitely good pizza. We had a Barq's Root Beer and loved our time with them. Definitely worth a couple minutes off of the interstate to check out this local...

First time at brewery & advised our male waiter that this was the 1st time we had been there & he said nothing. Had to ask for a wine menu as I don't normally like beer. Husband ordered a beer but was told they were out of it so ordered another which ended up being horrible. Smelled like butt. HORRIBLE BEER. After had consumed some of the beer, we noticed other tables (more than 1) having multiple samples (or what appeared to be samples) being removed from the tables. Our waiter never once offered us samples or even advised us that this was available even after telling him that we had never been there. We ended up drinking wine at a brewery. Waiter never checked on us. Every time we needed something we had to flag him down. When he delivered our food, we had no silverware, napkins or plates. We had to ask for napkins & never did get plates. We ate off of the serving trays. We had to ask for water, more wine & our bill. When we finally got our bill, it was completely wrong & had to discuss with him that he had charged us incorrectly for stuff. We will never return due to our HORRIBLE service. 2025-04-28: We arrived just after Happy Hour and were told they had no beer because the carbonation was not working. No problem for me since I don't like beer. But that meant no soda either, so Captain Morgan and Diet was out. Option 2 - Crown Apple and cranberry... They don't have Crown Apple. Finally settled on Vodka cranberry. Could not tell there was vodka in it. Got another as a double tall and still could not tell there was vodka. They got the carbonation fixed for the beer, but not the soda...

For the food, the mozzarella sticks were good. I also got the Philly with potato salad. 2/3 of the basket was potato salad. The Philly was terrible. The menu says shaved tri tip, but this was thick strips of meat that had a weird mushy texture and no flavor. The beer cheese was very runny and nothing to write home about. Potato salad was OK.
