When I first moved to the area and had this place, it was extremely good and everything was on point, but the last few times there’s always been an issue with the order specifications.
I ended up ordering online for pickup and it typically says a 15 minute wait until your food is done. I got there around 20 minutes after I ordered since they typically have me wait. I stood in line for about 10 minutes when I was next up too. Some reason the price was more than what was showed for online ordering, which is fine, and I ended up giving a tip too.
Ended up getting home and was missing an item that I paid for. On top of that, every other item that had specifications were wrong. For example, I had 3 items that I specifically said no sour cream and everything is drenched in it, also asked for chicken in a couple of items and I didn’t receive chicken in it. I pretty much paid $40 for one item because I had to toss out the rest/something missing. I called and tried to tell them what happened but they ended up hanging up on me and I would’ve went back but I live a little ways away.
I can’t say when the last time I wrote a review if I have even ever written one and I’m never one to complain, but I will never come here again because of the reoccurring issues and I hope I change some of your guys that are reading this minds. If you’re gonna run a business and allow certain requests, you should probably make sure that 1, all of the items are there. 2, follow the simple specifications that we are paying for and 3, don’t hang up on a customer that’s upset because YOU messed...
Read moreOrdered food here tonight. Moved to the area not too long ago so I've been trying to find a good authentic Mom and Pop Mexican Restaurant. I ordered a burrito, tamales, chips and salsa, and a taco. (I promise I don't eat this much usually, just wanted to sample a bit of everything lol).
Steak Burrito: Solid choice, nothing mind blowing but a decent tasting burrito. 4/5
Chicken Tamales: I worked with a lady that used to make tamales with the corn husk, and every place I have ordered tamales from don't seem to get it right. Flavor or spice wise. These guys do. Best tamales I've had from a restaurant. 5/5
Chips and Salsa: Salsa is delicious. Chips were a little on the salty side but good nonetheless. 4/5
Steak Taco: This one was slightly disappointing to me. Even with the green sauce added on, the meat still tasted dry and there wasn't a lot of flavors. All I could really taste was the sauce and the tortilla. 3/5
A factor of this place that is superb is the price point. I felt I got good value for my money across the board. All of what I listed above for less than $20. A generously sized burrito, two tamales (I honestly only thought I was going to get one), a bag of chips with a soup bowl full of salsa, and a normal sized taco. The pricing definitely makes this place worth the money, and if nothing else I most certainly will be returning for the tamales...
Read moreI support small local businesses, but I also believe in offering quality and value to your consumers. This was honestly neither. Ordered 2 full lbs of carnitas. It was dry, not fresh, and unseasoned. No tortillas included. Asked for extra sauce, received only 3 small sauce cups that were half full. For TWO lbs of dry flavorless meat. Also ordered Sopa de Barbacoa, their weekend-only "special" soup. Two sparse meatless bones, and a slab of fat, in a nicely flavored (thankfully) broth. I ended up dumping the broth over the carnitas to moisten em up. Pic is what was at the bottom. Nothing else in the "soup". Ordered the quesabirria as well. It was decent. The cheapest thing I ordered in a $50 order, and the only thing relatively enjoyable. I was swayed to order here because of their free chips and salsa offer on UberEATS...did not even receive the chips and salsa. I believe this place was good in the past. BUYER BEWARE...believe the more...
