The Indian sweets shop is really nice. We love their sweets and snacks. Our favorite one’s are besan laddoo and mango sandesh. But the female owner Davina Ray is quite rude towards the customers Don’t expect much attention or courtesy from her if she has more than 2 customers in the shop. She becomes irritating and impatient. My suggestion is hire some front staff if you can’t handle a bit of a crowd even, being rude to the customers should not be the option. Probably will not be coming back from now onwards!!
This is the reply for your comment. To he more precise there were only 2 customers you were handling when we enerered and there were 7 people . There is a difference between the customers and the people.. you asked me what do you need. I cleary said mixed box. I don’t know what you understood and gave me around 7 boxes of mithai. Then I corrected you that I need one mixed box. And then you replied me very rudely “I cant give It is time taking if you want you can take the box and the mithai boxes on the table and can pack it” that’s ok I said also I can wait , you clearly ignored me and then I was about to leave your shop immediately because of your behavior but it was Diwali so my husband ignored it. It was your fault that you could not hear my reply not mine. And we stood for at least 10 mints to be served . So you can not state that we were in hurry. I can also understand that It was Diwali and you would be busy. It was not about getting served quickly it was about how you serve us. And we expect little bit humbleness and politeness not the rude behavior which you did. You could have easily said to us sorry We are not doing the mixed sweets today I could have understand it.. but inspite of it you clearly ignored that and behaved too rudely. I know how much it takes to handle the small business but if you want to excel your business hardwork is the key and to bo more specific politeness as well. Surely not...
Read morePlease do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to get your Indian sweets. As many reviews already state, the owner is extremely strange, condescending, and rude. Expect to get greeted with an attitude and receive unwarranted lectures. Truly an abnormal experience and I was appalled at the level of unprofessionalism shown by the owner. On top of that, the sweets here are very mediocre which makes it even less worthy your time and money. Please avoid.
Response to the owner: I visited your store 1-2 months ago and ordered mithai and a few other snacks. Never placed a “big wedding order”. Please check your facts before you make outlandish remarks about a customer. I am not surprised that your immediate response was to get defensive and avert blame instead of offering an apology, as that requires a level of maturity and professionalism that you severely lack. Expecting basic customer service does not make me entitled, but that comment alone explains why you have consistently been getting negative remarks about your behavior. Thank you for further proving my initial review.
2nd response to owner: I truly do not know who you are talking about but once again, that was not me. I came with my family and stayed a safe distance away from you due to covid. You are clearly a very miserable individual and I encourage you to get a hold of yourself. You should be ashamed of yourself and your very apparent personality flaws before trying to open up a business that requires professionalism and decency. Please stop responding to this review, I have no desire nor the time to respond to your futile and pathetic attempts of bullying. A more productive way to use the excessive time you clearly have is to learn basic professionalism and customer service as stated above. Either way, you and your business will get what you deserve...
Read moreI was hungry during grocery shopping and thought to pick something up for quick lunch... And that was my mistake... I ordered chole bhature take-out since I had the craving for a couple of days... As soon as I reached home, I just started to eat as I was super hungry.. The first thing I noticed was that the bhature was not bhature as it was not made of maida.. I assumed they served aata poori... I tasted the chole and they tasted nice and spicy but definitely not the punjabi chole... The poori was drenched in oil.. I used tissue paper to soak extra oil and started to eat... I felt the poori tasted funny as they didnr taste like the aata poori as well... Me and my husband both ate one poori and then threw the rest as we could not eat anymore... The hunger made us eat one... After a while we felt uneasy.. Thought it was the oily poori... Then started the ordeal... We tried home remedies to medication to ease the uneasiness.. Drank so much water.. Nothing helped... We didn't eat dinner... Nd then we both had upset stomach throughout the night... I only felt rellieved after I threw up my stomach's contents... This continued for the next day... We felt better around evening and survived on homemade curd rice and and chaas... I will never ever dare to enter this place..It was...
