To say I was a bit hesitant about getting a good meal in Casper, while visiting on a Sunday night, would be an understatement. My expectations were low but the Rib and chop house hit it out of the park. Every piece, from beer to gumbo to main course and dessert, was amazing.
I asked for advice from our waiter on beer and food. Service was great and he managed to give some great advice. I tried the gumbo to start and it was just a bit spicy with great flavor.
My main course was chicken fried chicken, which I admit is my weak point. I have had it just about anywhere I have been but this too took the cake. A bit of spice, great gravy and an awesome crust surrounding perfectly cooked chicken.
I opted for some random side that was questionable in title, mushroom stuffing. While I can't adequately describe the flavor, it was effectively a large fried, hush puppy with a sweet gravy on it. Sounds less than amazing and TBH it looked weird, but it too was delicious, to the point where I passed it around the table for everyone to try. It was so good, I want more as I write this.
That was my meal but the balance of the table had great eats as well. The salmon was delicious and light, the filets were perfectly cooked and seasoned. All were hits.
We also got dessert, which looked all too formulaic but was anything but. The multin chocolate cake was perfectly done, great cake with hot center. More importantly the apple crisp was crispy and Carmelly with perfect apple center, crisp, juicy and just a bit tart.
All of that great food was finished nicely with excellent service from our waiter, as well as the rest of the staff.
Try this place, it's worth going, regardless of the location... which is actually pretty nice to add, it's an old saloon from...
Read more4.8/5 - Some of the best cuts of meat, with a huge menu that has something for everyone. Service was fantastic and the prices were very reasonable. Shoutout to Bailee, our server, as well as Bailee’s team for making this a very memorable night for us.
We are passing through from Toronto, Canada and found this place online. Prices spoke out to us and had great reviews so we came, and we were not disappointed. We ordered the Boudin Balls, which were very nicely cooked and served with a dip. My sister and I ordered each a steak, the New York Strip and the tenderloin. Tenderloin was cooked amazing, New York was slightly well done (to my liking) but it was still great (-0.2 pts). Served with a caesar salad or soup (we got the salad) and one of many sides (we got the mac and cheese). Portions were amazing and we cashed out just over $100 after taxes, which included the margarita and beer that Bailee recommended (it was amazing!).
This place is beautiful, it’s spacious and has a lot of seating. After speaking with Bailee, we learned that this is actually a historical building where it was the local bar/pub back in the day. You can see hints of the old day’s decor, however I see they tried to renovate it as much as they could.
This is the best mix of casual/fine dining in this spot. I would return for the food and the service. Bailee was very kind and gave us a lot of information about the things to do in the national parks. We actually added many things to our trip with her recommendation. Very down-to-earth, she was very sweet.

Read moreWe just had a sub par experience from start to finish. Had reservations days in advance for 10 and were seated at a table of 8 and told the would “squeeze” in extra chairs with an eye roll. I asked for more space as most of our party were adult males and not small people. Again met with eye rolls while both servers stood table side and discussed their other reservations and how they just couldn’t fit us anywhere else (understandable if we were a walk in) then said we would have to wait till the table next to us left and they would add a table. Skip forward.. all seated and drink orders come. I asked if there was flavored ice tea and my server responded “maybe”… then I said well is that a yes or no either way is fine I was just wondering she then responded “the bar has those super sweet syrups” so I asked what flavors and she said “idk” with more sighs and eye rolls. We weren’t given condiments requested or offered refills and I had to go find someone at the hostess stand for assistance. The food was also not up to normal rib and chop standards. My 13 year old remarked “the ribs are chewy mom the ribs at the airport were way better” (tgif airport ribs). My moms steak sandwich was shoe leather texture and the kids chicken strips had enough pepper to make the whole table sneeze and were inedible. My swordfish was good! That’s it! I worked for this company in Cody and Billings and I’m sad to see the service, quality and overall experience had drastically declined.
