I had been in the hospital for roughly 3 days and hadn’t been able to eat due to dietary restrictions. Once that ban was lifted, I was told that I could eat whatever I wanted and so, loving breakfast food at any time of the day, and seeing that there was an ihop nearby, I began ordering enough that it could’ve been enough to feed a small family. You can imagine my disappointment when I opened the container and started seeing a few things missing, the wrong side and a couple other small issues with it. I wasn’t going to call and probably normally wouldn’t have since the issues weren’t huge and although I’d paid for the specialty pancakes and only received regular but, with this being my first meal I could enjoy, I decided to call and see if anything could be done. I’d spoken with the manager and she was very pleasant and kind about it. she apologized and said that they would replace what was wrong with the order and with me being in the hospital, said that she would leave a note at the managers office by the telephone to let them know to do it for me when I got out. Fast forward a few weeks and I got out of the hospital, and I remembered this arrangement that the manager made. I tried calling IHOP but, unbeknownst to me, they were having their phones worked on so, for a week, I continue to try and couldn’t reach them. I decided today that I was going to, after an appointment, head over to IHOP since I was close and see if they know it had still been there or if anyone remember or if the same manager had spoken with Was working and remembered. It was not same manager, it was a gentleman named Sean. I got 3/4 the way through my story and, he kind of waved it off and asked me what I had ordered and said that they would be more than happy to make the entire order again for me. There’s a type of person that can make everyone smile that’s around them and the kind that can work a crowd without appearing too showy or blusterous. Although he had stated he been off work for vacation when this would’ve happened, it was very apparent that Sean Is the manager and that he has been doing this for a while. I moved to the state months ago and, knowing no one down here and having no friends or family even in the surrounding states, being in the hospital and diagnosed with lifelong illness has been extremely difficult. I’m grateful for people like Sean who took the time to listen to me after he got my order put in. He took the time to talk to me, to relate to my story In an empathetic fashion, and he made me feel like, although I have no friends or family here and I’m hundreds of miles from “home”, someone cared enough to apologize and correct a mistake, to offer an ear and to feed me a meal. And where I’m from, that’s how we define home. Thank you Sean and Staff for an all around...
Read moreIf I could give ihop zero stars I would. Bit I gave what I could. I am not a disgruntled employee after I have not seen my check nor was I treated fairly Or respected in that manner. I worked at another I hop for almost 5 years at a server and all I needed was a refresher in there policies there and some of their severing measures. One. I was never trained properly I was put straight to the floor. BEWARE CUSTOMERS. THEY DO NOT HAVE A REGISTER. SO IF YOUR ABLE TO PAY YOUR MEAL.THEY DONT HAVE Adequate management on the floor so they don't have any registers in the store to give you any change. So I guess that change will end up going to the server or host as a tip not fair. THIS ALL STEMED. From one night that was steady and I did the best I could. K always treat guest like I would want to be treated and it was only me and a cook who barely knew how to plate orders or what to put on them. He had to follow the menus. So with two orders messed up I tried to call floor manager with was unresponsive and then the gm above. The manager said he would comp. Both orders. I did not have that authority neither a number.. I would have gave a discount of it was for me. But days passed it was time for me to work again I came in and he said I can't work knowing I. Homeless my baby and I. I need the money and this job can't lose. He went to the other employees embarrassed me and was yelled at by them and him saying comping food was fraud. I didn't comp he. Did. I felt like it was put all on me and was said I had problems from day one. Yes I have because of basic needs that neded to be done like payroll I asked was never done. Scheduling, training. Just need help like I previously stated to get t he job done. I worked a week and it was never a problem until the day that night I didn't owe ihop any money. Now it's my fault I will be taking out a lawsuit with my lawyers and I have it recorded. Customers beware. 2.13 an hr I'm not doing my job. It's not hard to be a server just food comes out slow because of your cook. It's not the servers fault but we pay the price. If I was so bad then why put me on the floor immediately. Never again did my blood boil like that . BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE CUSTOMERS AND PEOPLE WHO WANT TO GET HIRED THERE. IM NOT UPSET ABOUT THE PEOPLE I LOVE PEOLE BUT I AM UPSET I HAVE NOT GOTTEN PAID NOR ANY OF MY NEEDS WERE ADRESSED. IF ANY9NE KNIWS NUMBERS PLEASE LET ME KNOW. MY LAWTER WILL...
Read moreOmg I've been to many IHOP's because I love the food & so do my family. But this place right here was the worst IHOP experience I ever had.so on March 23, 2024 we arrived there we were the only ones there so we still went in. As we walked in it smelled like burned Grease and there was smoke coming out of the kitchen. We stayed in the lobby for about 20 minutes. Before trying to get someone's attention. Then we finally sat down and the tables were sticky and dirty and so was the menu. We tried to tell the waitress and she kind of gave us an attitude about it. So we finally placed our order. It took them 1hr and 43sec. Before we had our food. They gave us plastic silverware because they said that they didn't have any for us to use while we dine in. I had asked my waitress why they didn't have any silverware for us to use and she said because the first shift were too lazy to roll them up in napkins and set it up for them 😒 My husband had the steak mashed potatoes and mac and cheese I had the fish with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. They gave me the wrong order and my husband's food and mine was cold. My kids food was somewhat cold but they still ate it. it seemed like it was sitting up there for a long time. Again we were the only people there. Other than the crew that worked there and another couple. While we were waiting for our food again the people in the kitchen started playing loud r&b music that had profound words. Mind you my husband is African-American and I am but we don't listen to that sort of music in front of our children. So finally by the time they gave us our food my kids had already eaten theirs so my husband and I took ours. I tried to stay as long as we could to try to give the place the benefit of the doubt because again we love IHOP but this was the worst experience we've had at IHOP. I will never step foot in that IHOP again. Can anybody that asked me I will tell them the same thing. I should have gone to the Mexican place...
