I went on a Friday night, and once I got to the door they our checked purses, my friend was carrying pepper spray and a birdie personal alarm for her personal safety. They took both of these items at the door, and told her they would put them aside and that she could get them back when we left the bar. About an hour later when we were leaving, she asked the bouncer who took them for it back, and they were gone. When she asked where they kept her things, he pointed at the ground on the street. There was also another pepper spray that wasn’t hers lying beside a trash can. They didn’t have a box or anything, he just put it on the sidewalk, and someone must have picked it up. The bouncer was mocking her and when she told him she used it because of past traumatic experiences he’s basically laughed in her face. We understand that accidents happen but he was beyond disrespectful about it. It makes me wonder if it was something like a man touching one of us or something more serious, how they would’ve handle it. I can tell by the past comments, it wouldn’t have been respectful. I will NEVER support a business that doesn’t put safety first and is disrespectful towards woman. If you care about your safety, do not go here. Read the...

I was assaulted by one of the bouncers at this terrible establishment. A few minutes after 2 AM, my boyfriend and I were asked to leave the bar so we proceeded downstairs. My boyfriend stopped to finish his drink before leaving so I waited with him. We were then screamed at and shoved in the direction to leave. I tried to walk inside to leave the bar and was immediately bombarded by a large bouncer that was 3 times my size. I threw my hands up to let him know that I wasn’t trying to fight back and as I did that, the bouncer proceeded to slam me to the cement. I was lying on the ground for at least 5-10 seconds before any of the staff came to help me up.

The next morning I woke to find a bruise and scar on the left side of my face and my left arm was tender for several days. Overall, I am completely traumatized and it is important to me to make others aware of my experience to avoid anyone else having to go through a similar situation at this establishment....

This place was weird. It took us several minutes to get in because there were guys in front of us who were not 21 but they weren't trying to pass as 21. They were just trying to get inside to eat with their family, which included girls who were already inside and clearly much younger than the boys trying to get in. The bouncer wasn't letting them in, somehow not understanding how ridiculous the situation looked. Eventually, we were let in, but still ID'd, which at this point makes no sense.

Staff were busy moving tables and chairs for a band that eventually came to set up but the haste and attention to this made it seem like this was an impromptu event. It took a very long time to get first service. Someone who appeared to be a manager came by to apologize and comp our appetizer. Service after that was good and the food was great.

I will visit again in the future. Hopefully, they have their entry policy straightened out and are much...

*next day edit: 3 to 2 stars. Just warmed up my leftovers and found a big chunk of bone in the mac and cheese. Ouch.* Food was decent. Service slacked. The gin mill duo appetizer was tasty; the carrots were a bit soft and didn’t seem fresh, but the pita was good! I also got the boss mac and cheese; the pulled pork was delicious but the mac and cheese was essentially pasta with cheese flavored milk poured over top, VERY watery and super bland. The waitress was very monotone with no facial expression and didn’t speak in full sentences; she either hates her job, people, or her life. The sad and honest truth. *better/more lighting in the women’s bathroom would be nice*

Went to the rooftop tonight for a little birthday party. Got pretzels, fried pickles, hummus and a black bean burger. Loved the pickles and the dip that came with them was wonderful. Hummus wasnt my favorite but the pimento cheese was yummy. The black bean burger was my most favorite one I've had. Super good with a bit of a spice. I'd definitely come back just for that. Service was pretty good even though we had to walk all the way downstairs for drinks and food. Atmosphere was great for a small gathering. Beautiful view and a nice breeze from the top deck.

My experience here was awful. The burger was barely even cooked. The customers were irritating, rude, and annoying. I stood at the bar waiting for help and the staff all looked at me like I was crazy. They also forgot everything I told them not to put on my burger. I bit into it and wanted to throw up. I don’t think I’ll ever be coming here again. This is absolutely ridiculous. My mom also got the cheddar chicken which wasn’t even cooked all the way through. If I could give this place a -1 star I would.
