Dos Tequilas — Restaurant in Chelsea

DON'T GO UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY ALOT IT'S Extremely expensive everything cost I understand making money but to charge so much extras to receive so little I mean their was alot of meat yes but stuff to go with it too little in the form of Tortillas to eat with is not good order a two person meal and they gave us 3 TORTILLAS for two people and asked for more was charged $1.50 for 3 more Tortillas $10 for queso blanco was charged for a appetizer and it's supposed to come with its own chips only got chips they give you with your salsa so I was shorted chips and I ordered also a chicken and steak meal I paid a extra $5 for jalapeños and onions I think they may have used only one jalapeños cut very fine onions was OK but for $5 I would like to have more veggies all together spent $78 to me not worth IT YOU CAN GO TO THE TACO TRUCK AT THE GAS STATION FOR CHEAPER EVEN LasMesa IS CHEAPER and taste wise just as good at least they know how to properly add veggies I paid a $1 at Los Mesa at dos taquillas was a total waste this restaurant is TexMex at best flour tortillas no corn if it's white corn tortillas still not authentic Mexican and beans are from a can not freshly cooked like in a real Mexican restaurant you can't be called a Mexican restaurant TexMex at best and I know Mexican food very well I speak Spanish and cook authentic Mexican food they don't even have carne asada 🙄and no need to apologize like the owner likes to do because even with the complaints nothing has changed I just wish I would have read more into the reviews before I stopped but my loss is yall gain cause I won't go back UPDATE ::--ANSWER TO THE OWNERS REPLY - - it's not my job as a customer to tell you how you should treat and price your customers I worked in the restaurant field for years as a worker and in management if you charge someone $5 for veggies you give them what their paying for I asked before I got them and didn't receive enough for said money and as for the Tortilla Chips being charged and shorted that your employees job to properly give people what they pay for as a customer it's not my job to police you or your workers and I won't be coming back I will go to real Mexican Restaurants yo quiero más mejor...

My husband and I went when they first opened and didn’t love it, we liked it. It was bright and felt cafeteria style. The salsa was not free and they didn’t have their liquor license yet. It wasn’t made for family style dining, so we were unsure what we thought other than the service and food were both good.

Last night changed our minds! We always give restaurants a second chance especially after the hiccups of opening. We went again last night and everything was improved, the atmosphere was dimmer, they had live music, a kids menu and their liquor license and salsa is now free! We realized that the experience was more high end Mexican & maybe not entirely for large families w/ several children but actually a great place for date night and spending time with friends. I love that! We don’t have that in Chelsea. The food was absolutely amazing. The service I’ll be honest could’ve been a tad better we had a really young girl that kind of forgot us a few times but still worth 5 stars bc everyone has off days and our overall experience was really good. So no biggie. The fajitas are enough for 2 on several of their dishes so we liked that. We’ll be back probably just my husband and I and that doesn’t offend me lol 😂 we need...

We saw other reviews and looked at the menu before we went, I was very excited to try Dos Tequilas based on that alone .. However when we arrived it was completely different! The service was odd, our server was still doing her makeup at the bar and the menu was nothing like what we saw online (photos included). I give it 2 stars because it was edible and the margaritas were 2 for 1, that's literally the only reason. The salsa had tons of cumin in it and did not taste fresh, I couldn't even eat it and I will drink salsa haha. We shared the Chilaquiles and added steak, but instead of just adding steak they took off the eggs??? I am not sure if she misunderstood our order or what but it was very unfortunate. I think there must have been an ownership change because the decor and menu are nothing like what the reviews say. After finishing our meal we waited 15 minutes then finally went to the register and asked for our check then paid there, so... I am extremely disappointed in our choice to eat here.
