Tijuana Flats — Restaurant in Citrus Park

We live in Carrollwood 2 1/2 miles away from this location. We eat there all the time and it seems like lately for the least the last three or four times we’ve gone there. The food is always brought out the cold. It’s like it comes out of a refrigerator and they don’t even microwave it hot for you to at least look like they just cooked it, worse than Cold taco meat or cold burrito meat. It’s just ridiculous that you can’t get your food that you spend good money towards it to come out hot. We’re not complainers. We usually just locate each other and just eat it, but I just want everybody to know the food at all the Tijuana Flats locations that we’ve been to have been just coming out cold I just want corporate to know this so least they can change it because they have lost our family for good. I’d rather go to the taco bus and eat their tacos because at least they’re warm all these franchises are losing these taco trucks on the street because at least they cook it right there fresh and the franchises have it in the refrigerator and barely warm it up. I have ordered take out from this location and the food was alwaya good and never had any problems. Tonight i ordered online and one of the items was a cheese quesadilla. When i got to the toppings part i selected plain because i didn't want any lettuce tomtoes just the cheese quesadilla. When i got home after picking up my order i noticed the quesadilla didn't have any cheese and i called to complain. I spoke with manager Makayla and was told that because i chose plain as the toppings that they didn' t put cheese on it. I ordered a cheese quesadilla i told her but she said that when i order online the chef makes it that way no questions asked. i asked her then why they asked for my phone number when i placed order if they won't call me if they have a question. So i paid $6.39 for 20 chips and a flour tortilla. Incredible. And the most amazing thing is that this Makayla is the manager of this place, she was so short and basically told me there was nothing they could do. I will not go back to this...

I don't ever write reviews, but my experience was just stupid. I came into this place with my sister at about 9:30pm, half an hour until they closed. We ordered 2 of the taco Tuesdays deal to-go and that's all. We ended up getting our food at 9:50. So it took 20 minutes to make 4 tacos with some chips on the side. It was very frustrating seeing other employees getting their food as they leave, and seeing and hearing employees goofing around in the kitchen area. Also, my sister and I didn't get a lid for our drinks and one of the employees said they didn't have lids until tomorrow, and I didn't really mind that until I saw a customer who ordered after us get a lid for his drink. So yeah, once we got our food, the employee didn't even apologize for the wait. And to top it all off, the food wasn't even hot. Almost all the nachos were cracked into crumbs and there was barely any meat on my tacos as it was just stuffed with lettuce and cheese. Overall, I'm just going to stick to the Tijuana Flats...
