We arrived at about 7:45 pm. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server, Kyle, came right to our table to greet us and introduce himself. Kyle was personable, courteous, knowledgeable, and cheerful. He answered our questions about some menu choices honestly, which my wife and I appreciated. After taking our beverage order, cornbread and butter were delivered to our table. It was delicious! Kyle returned with our drinks, and we ordered an appetizer, corn fritters with maple butter. The fritters were the BEST we have ever had, and the maple butter was unique and delicious with the fritters. Kyle took our dinner order when we were ready, my wife ordered the brisket, based on Kyle's recommendation, and I ordered the chicken and waffles ( cheddar cheese waffles ). When our food arrived, all was as promised, the brisket was lean and cooked perfectly and my meal came with four pieces of delicious fried chicken and a complete four piece "cheddar cheese waffle". My wife loved the brisket and the cheese in the waffle gave it a light texture and a very mild cheddar flavor that I thoroughly enjoyed. Kyle returned to our table to follow up on our satisfaction, clear used dishes, and refill our drinks without having to ask. When we finished our dinners, Kyle returned to see if we would like to order dessert. My wife ordered a waffle ice cream sandwich served a local ice cream, coconut almond joy, and I asked for the restaurant's take on lemon meringue pie, which was served in a mason jar. My wife's dessert could have served both of us and the ice cream made it incredible. The Meyer lemon custard in my " pie " was creamy, tart, and sweet, delicious. Kyle checked to see if we enjoyed our desserts, which was an absolute YES!! When we finished dessert, Kyle returned with our check, and said there was no rush. We are people that appreciate great food, but equally important, great service, and at the Ole Savannah Southern Table and Bar we received both. Kyle was, hands down the best server we have have ever had take care of us, and we made sure to tell Stacy, the manager, who worked continuously throughout our meal all over the restaurant, that Kyle was worth his weight in gold. She agreed, and wished a good night after telling us about some very fun sounding events in the very near future at the restaurant. We left happy, beyond satisfied, and ready to make the hour trip back for another fantastic meal hopefully with Kyle.
