Update: decided to come here again on another visit to Kingston and give it a second chance, even though I had been generous with my previous review and we actually had a bad taste in our mouths from before. On this second chance we found that the cornbread that had previously been dry and sad was moist and delicious. The service was perfect even though we were at the end of the night and the servers were rolling silverware (something that at a restaurant with this price point should be done in the kitchen). I didn’t catch his name but the very tall young male server was GREAT and very charming and had perfect timing. We just had beers and apps on this visit but the egg rolls (HUGE) and sliders (perfect medium) and mac and cheese were all fantastic. Glad we came here again, it was five stars this time. Came here while visiting Kingston- super cute place, very nice sitting along the water. We had the fried green tomatoes, sliders and meatloaf and some drinks. The service and cadence of the food was good. The food was okay- good-ish, not great. Just overall needed more flavor. The meatloaf was the best. The Mac and cheese and fried green tomatoes were a bit bland, the sliders were plain old sliders. Overall it was a nice experience, just expensive for the quality of food. It was $97 for 1 entree, 2 apps, 2 beers and one margarita. I assume the prices are like this because of the location and I’m guessing they cater to NYC crowds. It wasn’t overly expensive but was for the area and for what we got. Felt like we overpaid about $15, not a big deal. Would definitely recommend this place for the overall ambience and drinks and light fare on the waterfront. Definitely a solid 4-ish stars though, they just need to up the food a bit.

We arrived at 6:30 pm with a reservation for 4. We were dining with friends on a Saturday night. We were sat upstairs along the railing with an awesome view of the lower level. Great view and people watching as the band set up to play later (they started around 9 pm). Appetizers were awesome! Dinner was delicious and we ordered from the regular and specials menus. Cocktails are delicious! The fig cocktail was better than the pumpkin one, but both were good. It was very dark so excise the blurry photos. Was very difficult to see and picture quality suffered. Steak frites was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. Recommend adding grilled salmon to the beat salad for an extra yummy treat. Ramen special - if they have this on the menu, order it! It was amazing. Also not pictured was a delicious ragu with a few meats. Dessert and cappuccinos were wonderful! Lavender cheesecake was surprising & delicious! Band came on at 9 with light show and smoke machine. The music was so loud, but very good. If you don’t like loud music you may want to go earlier in the night. It was fun to watch people dance. We may as well have been at a huge concert. What a treat. The only things we didn’t love about Ole Savannah was that the ladies room was pretty gross, water and toilet paper everywhere and a soap dispenser which had been separated from the wall laying on the counter. Men said the men’s room was spotless. We would also skip the carrot cake next time as it was a little dry, but had great flavor.

Ole Savannah Southern Table and Bar is a beautiful old space with a great location right by the water, making it the perfect spot for outdoor dining on a warm summer day. As a dog-friendly establishment, it's a great place to bring your furry friend along for the meal. While some of the dishes fell short of expectations, there were a few bright spots. The fried chicken was particularly tasty and well-seasoned, and the cocktails were well-made and enjoyable. However, the ribs were undercooked and lacked flavor, and the biscuit was dry and inedible. Additionally, the baked beans were served in a plastic bowl that melted, leaving a plastic residue on the food. Despite the mixed quality of the food, the ambiance and location were lovely, and the drinks and fried chicken were definitely worth trying. It's worth considering Ole Savannah Southern Table and Bar for the overall experience, particularly for those looking for a dog-friendly outdoor dining experience. Overall, I recommend visiting Ole Savannah Southern Table and Bar for the beautiful location and outdoor dining experience, but be cautious when ordering food. Try the fried chicken and cocktails, but be aware that some dishes may fall short of expectations.

I have come to this place a few times they're fried chicken is really good but this time we went for the buffet lunch with Santa when my grandson and he sat ate was very well behaved Love seeing not only Santa but also Santa's wife which I thought was an excellent twist because there's a lot of places that do lunch with Santa but this one had Santa and Mrs Santa so he was just thrilled about it I did not like their brisket on the buffet I thought it was too dry but it might have just been because of the heat lamps but their fried chicken out of this world it was great memories good food good times
