Sunday, January 19, 2020: I called and placed the second most expensive single order on their menu for me and my friends, 1/2 Tray, 16 wings. I was told the order would be ready to pick up in an hour and a half. I show up about an hour and a half later, walk to the order table, and none of the 4 people working literally 10 inches in front of me acknowledged my existence, no hello, not even eye contact. I'm a big guy, so my presence is impossible not to notice. After standing there being ignored for 5 minutes, I sit down at one of the tables. You'd think since I'm now sitting down someone would come to at least treat me like a customer and ask if I had an order or was there to order something? Nope, after sitting there for 15 minutes I was still ignored by all 4 workers who moved all about the shop, never made eye contact, and kept on passing by me as if I wasn't there. In fact, at one point a waitress in pink wearing glasses actually looked right through me and asked a person at a table BEHIND me "is anyone waiting on you?" Moreover, other people were coming off the street, standing right in the same spot I previously stood in and were immediately acknowledged by the wait staff, so now it's obvious I'm being ignored on purpose.
Even still, I patiently waited for another half an hour at the table, but eventually I just got up and left and went to 7Eleven to see if there was something I could pick up to eat there since Mister B's staff had no interest in doing the very basic job task of waiting on a customer and giving me my order. Unfortunately, 7Eleven had nothing me or my friends would've wanted, so I let the earlier situation go and 15 minutes later I came back to Mister B's. I just wanted my order so I could eat with my friends and watch the football game.
I repeated the same process: I walked in, stood at the order table, for approximately 11 minutes. No one spoke to me, no one made eye contact, yet other people came up after me and did the same thing but somehow the staff noticed those people and gave them their orders, while somehow I was invisible. I walked out again, and this time for the LAST time.
I won't ever be back to Mister B's. These are terrible, miserable human beings running this place. I don't know what their problem is, and I don't want to know what their problem is, but I want the public to read this and consider it before spending their money here because if it happened to me, it can certainly happen to you. They never even called to check up on why I didn't pick up the order, but my guess from living on this earth for a while is that they eventually figured out the order that was sitting there was for the guy they kept...
Read moreGreat menu with lunch and dinner specials ranging from specialty sandwiches to pasta dishes. Spaghetti with meatballs is delicious. Decent selection of appetizers, great hot subs and pizza, but pizza crust is kind of bland. Dine in, carryout, delivery and a bar. Place is cozy with a motorcycle theme/vibe. Somewhat dim lighting. Service is fantastic. Only issue you may run in to is placing an order for delivery during peak hours, lunch time or Sunday's during football. Longest I've waited was almost two hours, but, I have ordered from them many, many times and that was the longest wait I had, on a Sunday. Delivery wait times range from 30-45 minutes, usually. Obviously depending on what you ordered, where you live and how busy they are. I sat at the bar during lunch time on a Thursday and they gradually became packed over an hour or two. Great place to eat, and great service. Give it a try! I only gave 4 stars. Usually only give 4 as the highest unless a place truly blows my socks off, then it's 5.
Update 2020 After some time has passed since my initial review, I wanted to update everyone and share a little bit more. I have changed the rating from 4 to 5 stars for two reasons.
Reason one is that I, personally, have not had a messed up order in any fashion since posting my last review and that truly says a lot about a business that is customer facing. While mistakes can and will happen from time to time, I just haven't experienced one yet.
Second reason relates to more recent events with the state closing down and everything around that, and the delivery drivers. This restaurant continued to say open and serve the public, when many others closed their doors. That also says a lot. Without introducing bias into this review as a couple of the delivery drivers know me since I have been a customer for years, I will remind everyone that I initially gave a 4 star review and I will leave the names of the employees out. The delivery guys that work here are truly amazing, especially the new one. Always fast and respectful. Never rude. These guys are a huge part in what keeps this business running smoothly, and I appreciate it!
I can't recommend this place enough. When the world opens back up and our borders to Canada allow travel back into the U.S. I recommend to anyone, local or international, that has not been to Mr. B's to please give it a shot. You won't be...
Read moreWe were at Art Park in Lewiston for a concert and really wanted to to grab Beef on Weck in beef-on-weck-land.
Mr. B's came up as a great BOW spot and the food did not disappoint!
The waitress was upbeat, energetic and friendly despite the later hour. The atmosphere is cute, comfortable, sassy, and strait forward. It kinda feels like a Midwest local watering hole (which are family friendly) meets an easy coast biker bar.
I wish we had tried the pizza, but our appetites weren't huge. From all appearances, it's great!
We ordered the Buffalo Platter Appetizer.
The chicken wings were delicious, crispy, not soggy from sauce that they bathed in too long.
The Beef on Weck had great, flavorful, sauce-holding caraway buns. The beef was great! It may r was cooked the tiniest but too long but, the kitchen was closing and they were finishing a heap of to-go orders. It's the 2nd best beef on Weck my husband and I have had in the Buffalo area. The au jus and the very wonderfully, nose-tingling horseradish brought the sandwich from standard to awesome!
I have to agree with other reviews. The service was courteous and friendly. But you can tell that locals (rightly so!!) are treated like family. It's makes you want to be a regular, so you can have the Cheers Bar treatment ("Hey, Norm!").
-Lovely place! -Parking could be tough over dinner time. -The staff are witty, clearly love each other and it's a second home kind of place for many. I love seeing that kind of community in action. 🧡 -Give it a go! It may seem dive-y on the outside, but what doesn't in the US side of the Niagara Falls? -It's such an great way to end a trip to the Niagara peninsula. My belly is full and taste buds were tantalizes with the...
