Honestly... Appalled... Haven't had this negligent of service at a restaurant in a long time. I ordered a feature salad, "Winter Vegetable Salad" for $15 and it should've included the following (Roasted Parsnips, Rutabagas, Turnips, And Apples Tossed With Artisan Greens In A Light Lemon Oregano Vinaigrette Topped With Goat Cheese And Crispy Chickpeas) and I added on shrimp for $10.
What I received was Greens, shrimp pushed to the side, goat cheese and apples.... When I let my server know she kindly apologized and went back to the kitchen. What she returned with was "Oh they forget to add chickpeas sorry". I checked the menu... And realized I got no vegetables for my... Vegetable salad. I waited awhile for her to return and informed her and she said "I'm sorry they don't have the other ingredients".
I kindly told her I don't want to waste food but this isn't what I ordered and I'm not paying full price for a salad that barely has anything on it. She got her manager who only went to the computer to comp my meal... And didn't even come by to apologize for a negligence that should have never happened.
How did that even leave the kitchen? How did no one tell my server a FEATURE item was missing ingredients?
But even when I walked in I could tell the way they scheduled their staff was off. I sat at the bar and my server was the only bartender during busy service and had a full table section... While there were multiple servers coming and making their own drinks... And the other customers were confused who to order to. The manager and other staff were sitting on their phones in the back while my server was running around very busy. I'd like to point out that I don't think it was my servers fault, I didnt take it out on her, she was sweet and doing her best and apologized a lot.
Even when I returned home with my leftover "salad" I noticed the chickpeas were burnt and the shrimp tasted rubbery like they were precooked and had sat for awhile before getting to me. I should've pushed for 100% comp instead of the 50% the manager gave me but at that point I just wanted to leave.
The whole experience was off and I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The menu and the atmosphere have potential but whatever is happening with management does not and I feel bad for...
Read moreWe came in around 4:30, the restaurant had 3 other tables sat. We were sat at a booth and it took at least 15 minutes to be greeted. Once greeted we ordered our drinks, appetizers, and food all at once. We specified we wanted an appetizer.
When our food finally came out our appetizers came out with our meal. When we asked about it we were told he “didn’t know we wanted it first.” Weird but whatever.
I ordered a classic burger with a gf bun. There was no veggies at all on my burger. Our server didn’t come back so we flagged down a waitress who brought it.
When our server finally came back we asked for drink refills (2) which he seemed annoyed about. He brought one drink out, not 2. He waited much longer than typical service to check for refills. I had been out of water for a good 10 minutes by the time he came by to check.
We ate our meal as normal until we asked for boxes. He acted extremely annoyed and was throwing his arms around when asked.
It was extremely slow in the restaurant and we only asked for things we had already ordered that were wrong/missed.
We were basically ignored the whole meal other than brief check ins which seems to bother him. It felt extremely unwelcoming and uncomfortable. Instead of him checking on his tables him, the hostess, and waitress were chatting the whole time. We were treated more like an annoyance than customers. I was a server for years and it was easily the most uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment I have ever been served in. I can’t stress enough how slow they were. We had one single ticket on the expo screen when we ordered. Also a table was left dirty for easily 20 minutes, again with little to no customers.
A phone rang also and the female waitress (maybe bartender) loudly exclaimed “I’m ignoring that” and let the phone ring. Loudly. She did end up picking the phone up when they called again. Once again, the restaurant was dead.
The one thing I do want to shout out is how well allergies were treated. Despite the bizarre experience the server and chefs were great in that aspect and I do want to give that credit. My burger and the other burger were great. Overall the food for our other two guests was...
Read moreWe have eaten at 110 Grill more times than I probably should admit... For me, this restaraunt seems too good to be true. It has a nice comfortable atmosphere, is always clean, the service has always been great, and the food is outstanding. I have Celiac Disease and have to follow a strictly gluten free diet. Finding places to eat in Northern and Central New York has been challenging, until 110 Grill opened at Destiny USA. This restaurant has a huge menu which can accomodate the pickiest of eaters, and the most extensive gluten free menu I've ever encountered. Most other places have a few gf options or a handful at best, and then make sure you realize that they cannot commit to the food being 100% gluten free. 110 Grill puts those other restaurants to shame with their vast selection of food and commitment to allergies. I have eaten there with others who do not have any dietary restrictions or allergies, and they have been very pleased with their meals as well, so don't think it is only for people with special diets. Do yourself a favor and try it! If you know anyone who has any dietary need, please do them a favor and let them know there is a great place nearby where they can actually eat great food! Sometimes the food has taken longer than what you'd find elsewhere, but they aren't just microwaving stuff like at other places. Here, almost everything is made from scratch.
On our most recent visit, Chef DJ gave us a full overview of the precautions taken to make sure the food served is safe for someone with an allergy. He was super knowledgeable, accomodating, and overall just a very nice person. He checked to make sure we were enjoying everything multiple times. Our waitress, Gina, was great too. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Don't forget to ask for the gluten free rolls! The crab rangoon dip, spinach artichoke dip, fish and chips, and pulled pork mac and cheese are my favorites. If you want to have a cheaper meal here, there are options. If you want to go all out, they have everything! Thank you, 110 Grill, for giving me a great, safe place to...
