Tastee Caribbean food — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

I went in on a weekday with my coworker for lunch. There were no customers and the fact that it was lunch time and nobody else was in there instantly made us question if the food would be any good. We wanted some oxtails. The worker ( possibly owner) was nice enough to let us sample the oxtails. It had a nice flavor so we placed 2 orders. From that moment on, we instantly regretted our decision. When it was time to pay he only wanted us to pay cash, although they accepted credit card payments. He begged for us to pay cash, but when we tried to pay he didn't have any change. I was forced to order drinks since there was no change and my coworker was forced to take money out of atm because he begged for cash payment. Maybe the business is in need of help, but we definitely felt forced and annoyed to be the ones to take on this task. I gave 3 starts because the food was good. However, during the Covid season the lack of precaution while serving and the cleanliness is off. The server sat in the dining area eating her food, as I walked in she got up and NEVER washed her hands to serve me. Not one employee in the restaurant had a mask on. I had to ask the employee to put on her mask. To add, there was another employee mopping the floor right next to where the food was being served, as though that couldn't wait until we left the shop. I have always strayed away from eating at this place and I think I know why. I decided to give this place a try because I was craving some beef patties. I decided not to get them because they look unappealing to eat. Just dried up as if they were sitting there since yesterday. I tried the red peas soup and the rice and peas with brown stew chicken.
