Dulce Mexcalito — Restaurant in Cleveland

We gave the restaurant a try on a Saturday. Immediately walking in We were hit with a horrible smell of mold. We ignored that and ordered food anyway, the staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered enchiladas with charro beans. The beans were a weird grayish color. I ate them anyway. We gave them another try the following Monday, I ordered the exact same thing. Again I ordered the charro beans. The first spoon full of beans I was Immediately hit with a completely rotting taste. I was literally shocked. I smelled them and wow they smelled like rotting garbage ! Why would they risk losing a customer over some beans! I took it as complete disrespect to serve beans that are clearly way past their expiration. Why would a restaurant try to profit off of rotting food and risk getting somebody sick to make a quick buck. Needless to say we will not be back. I really tried to support local and give this place the chance they deserved. Unfortunately its the same story as the past restaurants that were there before. Get rid of that God awful smell and hire more...

Totally blown away by how delicious the food here is. I am a Texas native and I truly think this was the most delicious Mexican meal I’ve ever had at a restaurant! My husband and I got the enchiladas verdes and my kids got beef tacos al carbón. The enchilada was absolute perfection — the chicken was perfectly cooked, tortilla had the perfect texture, and the sauce! The sauce was so unbelievably fresh and flavorful. The meat and tortilla in my kids’ tacos were perfect. Even my 20 month old ate an entire taco! I’ve eaten lots of Mexican food all over Houston and San Antonio and this was just the best!

The service was also so friendly and accommodating. We live an hour away so it’s disappointing we can’t eat here often, but whenever I’m in the area, I will definitely come back! I wish I got photos so could show how delicious and well presented...

The food was so gross that it literally almost made me throw up. And literally all I had was the queso with fajita beef. We couldn't get our waitress to come to the table hardly. And when she did return which was only a couple of time and we'd tell her what we wanted she would only bring part of it. We waited on salsa for my mom for almost 30 min which was only a few minutes before we got our food which took almost 40 minutes which we had a dr appointment and we had to send her after to go boxes due to that, and then she didn't even listen enough to bring enough boxes then either. So we had to wait on that as well and barley made to the dr appointment which was down the road from the restaurant. If I could leave...
