Cold Press Cafe — Restaurant in Colleyville

I want to share my personal experience about this company and honest review so that it may help anyone else with this issue. We stopped by this company for the first time on August 5, 2023 to buy some celery juice. The celery juice that they had out for customers expired on 8/5/23. I purchased 2 bottles and when I got home I opened it up to drink it and it and it was sour. I contacted the company and they said that unfortunately they could not do anything about it and proceeded to tell me it would be good for over a week after the date on the bottle. After looking it up celery juice cannot go for more than 3 days in the fridge after being juiced. So needless to say I got some expired celery juice. I drink celery juice daily at home that I juice myself and it has never tasted like this juice I purchased ever. It was not drinkable and nor did I want to get sick. The other weird thing was as soon as I left the company after purchasing the juice they texted me asking me how many more I could buy from them! Needless to say I will not be purchasing more and don’t text your new customer who just purchased juice and ask them how many more they can buy. Very poor customer service. Awful experience. We ordered 2 ACAI bowls ($14 a pop btw). What we got was blueberry, banana, icy mush (see photos). Completely overpriced. This was on my anniversary. I felt so cheated. I couldn’t taste ANY acai. I’ve had many different acai bowls and this is by far the worst one we have had. We literally purchased better tasting and quality acai bowls in the store. Huge disappointment. Also, many of the “fresh” fruit and milk based juices expire in 2 days, 4/6/24, (or best sell by date on 4/6), made on 3/30. Overpriced and under-delivers. Wish I could get a refund. Terrible part of our anniversary day. I don’t recommend.

UPDATE 4/29/24: No accountability from owner. And only insults to my intelligence and my palate. Shameful 🤦‍♀️ . I have had some of the BEST Fully Organic, Freshly made Acai in the country, from West coast to the East coast. I know what Acai tastes like. And again, still by far the worst from Cold Press Cafe. Overwhelmed by ice, banana, and blueberry flavors. At the very least, the owner should have offered a refund. Customer service pails in comparison to the competition, as well. Foodie/Caterer review !

Let's talk about my new obsession in Colleyville. CVLJ is filling colleyville/NRH need for Acai bowls and fresh juices!

I spend lots of time in Hawaii where Acaii market is very competitive. You can find it everywhere and only the good ones survive. Quality Acaii is pulp without apple juice additives, you must try out CVLJ. Their product Is clean, made while you wait, with lots of thought put into the flavor profiles. Presently they offer Juice shot cleanses, like turmeric, or whole juice drinks. Also they offer Acaii Bowls, Dragonfruit bowls, Blue Spiralina bowls and recently a more savoury purple sweet potato bowl.

The price for quantity in the bowls are outstanding. This is meal worthy. You wont get skimped on.

About 11$ for this beauty.

Come try them out. Thoughtfully built. Filling. Healthy and affordable. Ample serving size.
