Don't come here in the evenings! Their night team is terrible. The night "GM" Lisa is absolutely horrible at her job and is snarky and rude with customers. We have placed to go orders twice with them and both times, have had to come back multiple times to get the correct items. Tonight, I placed a to go order that was supposed to be ready at 6:15pm. I sent my daughter to pick it up and when she got there, she was told that it wasn't ready yet. They had her wait 15 minutes and then gave her the wrong order. When she pointed it out, the staff looked at her like she was crazy and then the manager went to the warmer and pulled out our order. We got it home and started checking it, only to find out that we had the wrong sides and were completely missing other sides, sauces and one of the boxes was completely upside down and had spilled all inside the bag. I called and Lisa was apologetic until I said that I wanted the items I paid for. I went back to the store to pick up the missing items and I asked to speak to a manager. Lisa stated that she was the manager. I asked her if there was someone else I could speak to and then she proceeded to bark at me that she was the store gm, and more specifically "Why would I waste my breath telling you that if there was someone else you could talk to?", she was training, she was the only one there and that they are all human beings and mistakes happen. She did nothing to attempt to rectify the situation but instead walked over to the warmer, grabbed my sides and then slammed the bag down on the counter. I'm normally a very patient and polite person, however, I am human as well and when I have to make multiple trips and take time out of my evening to fix the mistakes of others, when I should be at home enjoying dinner with my family, it becomes bothersome. When you pay $20 a plate, and spend $60- 80 an order, I expect to get what I paid for without argument. Lisa and the night staff at this location need to practice integrity and take pride in their work. Dickey's if this is how you train your managers to behave, expect more complaints and...
Read moreI have been going to Dickey's on Garden of the Gods for about two months now, and up until the last trip it has been excellent at best and kinda okay at worst. This last time, I ordered two pounds of sliced beef to go, instead of my usual three pounds, thank my lucky stars. I knew something bad was in the works when the girl called the guy over. I was at the cash register then, and she appeared to be discussing the condition of the side of brisket. I mumbled oh, no! I've been through this before at Rudy's. When I got home, what I suspected came to pass. The BBQ in the first container was one third bristle and fat, AKA garbage. Two days later, I opened the second pound, and there wasn't enough edible brisket to make a small side order. More than three quarters garbage. If I paid in counterfeit money, I would have almost had my money's worth. But my money was good, not garbage. Apparently, when these places, Rudy's and Dickey's, get a side of brisket that belongs in the dumpster, instead of shoving it in the garbage, they let their customers take the hit. At Rudy's, I got three pounds of garbage two trips in a row, and I haven't been back. I'm not going back. One more garbage haul at Dickey's and that will be all for them. My guess is that the guy that okayed giving me garbage had been given the word from higher up to do that. We are talking about company policy. Oh, by the way, I went to a Dickeys near Dallas at 5000 Rowlett Rd. in Rowlett, Texas that isn't there anymore. It was always excellent. I notice by the reviews that the Dickey's bbq places in the Dallas and Roulett areas now are more in line with what you have here. Once a restaurant gets established and spreads around in an area and the competition hits the road, expect the quality of food in the established places to take...
Read moreOctober 12, 2023 This visit was a shock to our wallet -$8.65 for a small quart container or less of baked beans. Guess I should have learned my lesson last time. Ridiculous.
We are long time customers of Dickey's - all the way back to the Grand Opening of this store. But times change and so do business strategies I guess. We still enjoy the food, but starting now will be guests at Bird Dog BBQ. Both the male and female staff members there today seem like the most unhappy and uncaring people we have ever met. Although they greet customers, they appear like robots, never smiling, unfriendly, and show a uncaring attitude. We hardly got both feet in the front door and the male shouts at us: Is this for here or to go? And I have to remind the cash register gal about the drink that comes with my meal, and then I get the stink-eye because I did not add any tip to my credit card purchase. These 2 employees exude a sentiment of hating their job and do not appear friendly at all. To top it off, the ice cream machine was removed. Dickey's is going downhill fast. Even the catering van parked out in the parking lot for advertising bears completely sun faded paint, as if it is ready for the scrap metal yard. Dickey's Corporate folks can't be very proud of this store. We sure aren't and we won't...
