My wife and I live about 2 hours from this Fridays. We used to eat here often, usually lunch, and the food was predictably excellent, we especially liked the fried green bean appetizer! We had last been at this location in October 2022 and we were unhappy with the food then, and very sad to see most of our favorites, including the green beans, had been dropped from the menu. Fast forward to Saturday, August 31, 2024 when we ate in a nearly deserted restaurant--at 6 pm on a Saturday! I had the Fish & Chips ($17.49) and my wife had the Glazed Pecan Chicken Salad (not listed on the online menu). We also had enough points for a free appetizer and ordered the Whiskey Glazed Sesame Chicken Strips ($14.39). First of all, the food looks absolutely nothing like the menu photos, which is typical--but the difference was striking. The chicken strips in the appetizer were very well done and the glazing was missing on half the strips. My fish & chips consisted of one tasteless and well overcooked filet and a handful of cold, sad, wimpy fries (chips). I had to remind the server that it was supposed to come with cole slaw, which he did bring out. My wife's salad seemed to be missing the advertised arugula and a handful of the greens on the dish were wilted brown, which she dared not eat. She described the chicken as "tasteless shoe-leather". She had asked, twice, for more water, but the server never did bring a refill. No one asked how our meal was until the very end, when I asked to speak with the manager. I expressed that this was, perhaps, the very worst restaurant meal I'd ever had. She apologized and did comp the meals, which we did not request but was greatly appreciated. I can't imagine how they get away with charging $17.49 for ONE cod filet and a handful of sorry fries. The couple sitting behind us also sent back a steak for being cooked wrong. Additionally--the men's restroom reeked of urine and the floor was disturbingly sticky (you know, that sticky when you walk in and your shoes immediately start making the sound like removing tape!). My wife said the women's room was also falling apart, the soap container wasn't wanting to stay attached to the wall and the lock on the stall door was basically nonexistent. The best thing I can say about TGI Fridays is that they serve locally brewed beer, which is greatly appreciated! We've eaten at locations in Springfield and St. Louis, Missouri, and our experiences at those locations were also sub-par. The Columbia, MO, location used to be the stand-out. I'm sorry, Friday's, but I cannot imagine visiting one of your locations again. I don't think I...
Read moreWOW! I don't know were to begin. The first thing that struck me as Odd was there was no one there at 5:30pm on a Saturday evening. There were four waitress, two busses, one manager/ bartender, one greeter and one couple at the bar. The greeter said or waitress would be rite with use, and we waited, what we precived to be agood amount of time considering 🤔 there was NO ONE THERE! At first our waitress was kind. She took our drink order, two sweet teas, She asked us if we were ready to order and we said give us a minute we haven't been here for a while I think the menu has changed. And again sometime had passed then she came back to our table ask a Sipp we were ready and we were we ordered our food Corey asked for his entree which was steak and potato And ordered an additional side of soup we ask her What was the soup of the day and she said broccoli cheddar So he ordered it He asked for ranch on his salad and I got A steak with loaded potatoes, vegetable, and Cesar side salad.🥗 And once again we waited finally our salads came we ate them And we waited finally Another waiter brought our food 😋 The only thing we were missing was Corey's broccoli and cheddar soup so we waited for the waitress to come by and let her know he did not get his broccoli and cheddar soup and she looked straight at him and said that is not what you ordered you ordered broccoli With cheese and he said no ma'am I asked you what the soup of the day was and you told me broccoli and cheddar and I said good I will have that and I said yes he said that and she said no that's not what you ordered and walked away With cheese and he said no ma'am I asked you what the soup of the day was and you told me broccoli and cheddar and I said good I will have that and I said yes he said that and she said no that's not what you ordered and walked away! We did not see her again until she brought us our check which again we had to wait for. Now being the kind-hearted people that we are we do not like to embarrass people and we don't like to be embarrassed either but that was embarrassing. She never once came back to our table we had to flag down another waitress just to get a refill. We do not go to the Columbia area Very often And this TGI Fridays is right along I 70 and the 63 cordor you cannot miss it we have been there in the past several times and it has always been A very busy place. It was by far the WORST SERVICE! from any waitress we have ever had in our life. I'm sorry to say this but we will not be...
Read moreHow can I even start. Have you seen the movie "Waiting"? I guess shame on me for expecting anything different from a TGI Fridays. The food was terrible, do not order their "loaded nachos", what a joke. I got corn chips, loaded with salt, cold cheese and no toppings. This was recommended by the bartender and was just about laughable when they brought it out. All I got was plain corn chips. When I told he there wasn't any chicken on it, he just walked away from me. The only thing TGI has to offer is undercooked chicken, bad steak, and ok burgers. I was literally charged over $10 dollars for a small vodka and tonic and said something about it, he just said "yeah". I then watched the same bartender fondle a waitress, answer his cell phone, and play games with the other bar keep. Whenever I mentioned the over priced drinks and terrible food, he ran from me. Seriously. The manager had no interest in my opinion either and avoided me. Completely unapologetic and disinterested. If you want to make sure your guests never come back, they did a good job. Oh, I forgot to mention I was only the second person sitting at the bar. It wasn't a busy night. Maybe that should have been the sign that this place isn't any good. I can't believe they had the audacity to bring my a bill over $40 for corn chips and 2 drinks. Let me also say I never complain about anything. I'm so easy to please but this was ridiculous. I hope they go out of business and these clowns are out of a job. I own a business and this seriously pisses me off. Not just my service that night, but service of other guests I witnessed was atrocious. They do not deserve to be in business and my guess is they won't be for much longer. It was so bad I had to write this review. This restaurant should be a causality of a free market society. Any other town or industry and this place would be gone. Just look at all the bad reviews on here. I give them -1 stars at best. How dare you take my hard-earned money. You could learn a thing or two about customer service. Learn that first and then you can work on the bad food and bad menu. Don't just take my word for it, go there and try it if you...
