last night i got room service at the hilton (that uses this restaurant) and was eating my mixed greens salad when i noticed two bugs in my food, one of which was still twitching. soon afterward, my stomach hurt very badly

my boyfriend didn't notice any bugs in his food, but his stomach started hurting badly after he ate, too. he had a burger, and it’s quite possible the bugs could have come from the lettuce in his burger and my salad.

in the morning, we thought hey, maybe it won’t be bad as long as we don’t get lettuce, and maybe it won’t be as bad if we go down to the actual restaurant. we got breakfast: a breakfast sandwich and a “rustic breakfast.” the sausage was hyped up with all the descriptions of it, but it tasted like nothing— like a faint meat taste and then just water or oil. the biscuit and jam was good.

We had a reservation for 8p. We arrived early to check out the bar and have a drink. The bar staff was friendly but they needed some additional help with the crowd size. They also were having a bit of a conflict between each otherat one point. We checked on our reservation and we were seated promptly at 8. The server was very nice and considerate. The kitchen on the other hand had some issues. It took 90 minutes to receive our food and when we did receive it, it was under cooked. I was polite with the server but was completely frustrated on the inside with the service, especially with the amount of money dinner cost. We were provided a glass of wine for our wait but that just wasnt enough. Hope they make some improvements, it could be a nice place to go especially with the proximity to so many other activities in the city.
