The entire evening at this restaurant was terrible from start to finish. First of all, the waitress that we had was not very good at checking in with us and went long periods of time being nowhere in sight despite the fact that other waitresses around us seemed to check in frequently with their tables. There were 3 of us, so we were sharing pitchers of margaritas, and it took 10+ minutes to get each round- even though they were crowded that seemed ridiculous. Adding to that irritation was the waitress' previously mentioned inability to come give an update or even bother to apologize for the wait each time. We eventually ordered food after a few pitchers and also ended up having to wait 25+ minutes for the food to come out. When the food finally did come out, all of our tacos were cold and the corn souffle was raw in the middle. We asked to speak with a manager, and when the person on duty came out she seemed very angry and acted irritated that we were not pleased with our food. She did agree to have the kitchen remake the food and at least offered to not charge us for it, which was the one positive way she reacted. To cap the whole evening off, when we got the bill we found out that the pitchers of margaritas were a complete rip off. We had ordered pitchers of "the mustache ride" and the pitchers were the smaller variety that held about 3.5 glasses of margarita. You maybe could have squeezed another .5 of a glass out if you didn't mind that it would be mostly melted ice. The pitchers were $30 each, even though an individual margarita was $7. So we spent $30 for 3.5 margaritas that we could have ordered individually each time and only paid $24.50. At that point we were so fed up and didn't want to deal with the manager's attitude so we just paid and left, but you better believe that we will never be going back or recommending it to...
Read moreHands down one of the best taco spots I’ve hit in Ohio. From the second we walked in, the vibe was on point—warm, laid-back, and just the right kind of loud that lets you know the food’s about to be fire.
We started with chips and queso (a must), and it came out hot and creamy, with the chips still warm and lightly salted—perfect combo. I ordered a mix of tacos: the Korean BBQ taco, the veggie taco, and their signature chicken one. Each one brought a different flavor punch, but that Korean BBQ taco? That’s the one I’d come back for.
The portions were solid and everything was fresh—nothing felt thrown together. The tortillas tasted handmade, the slaw was crisp, and the sauces were actually flavorful, not just spicy for no reason.
Drinks were on point too. Their house margarita was strong but balanced, and I really appreciated the fresh lime and not-too-sweet mix.
Also, major props for the presentation. You can tell they care about the details—the tacos came out looking like something you’d post before you eat (and yep, I did—check out the pics).
Service was friendly, quick, and genuine. You could tell the staff actually liked working there, which added to the whole experience.
If you’re in town, stop playing and pull up to Local Cantina. Great food, good drinks, dope vibe. Will...
Read moreUse to love going to Local Cantina. It changed dramatically over the last year. I don't know if there's new management, or management is getting greedy, but the selection and prices are not what they used to be.
Chorizo Egg Taco = Gone Beef Brisket Taco = Gone (was best Taco on menu. Seriously???) Chorizo Queso = Gone. Crunchweezy Prices = increased 50%
Guess what we still have though? The Karen special. Plain Beef and Cheese Taco sold at every Taco joint on earth.
No more interesting options. No spice or heat. Nothing offered here anymore that I can't get anywhere else. Last 2 times I went food felt like it was old.
You order tacos to go for a bunch of people, and nothing labeled. Last time we ordered to go everyone ate other people's tacos on accident.
Menu sucks now, and I will never go back. Used to go a few times a month.
P.S.: Never order the Nashville Hot Taco. Old, small, dry, no-heat having tender on a stale tortilla. I would be embarrassed to sell it if it was my restaurant.
Save your money and walk 50 ft toward Super Food Mart and order from the Taco truck there. Infinitely better. Como Park is a 4 minute walk away. Go eat the real...
