Was excited to visit this establishment, and had the pleasure to do so February 2nd. The entry door on the right doesn't work there is no signage that says so, this could give the illusion that they are not open, walked to the left side and gained entry. We were immediately seated, and greeted by are server. My husband had the lemonade and stated that it was great. I asked if they were still serving breakfast, and our server went to check, when she returned she jumped straight into wanting to take our orders, without responding to my request, after I reminded her, she was able to tell me that I could still order breakfast. My request was for shrimp and grits with wheat toast, she told me that she wasn't sure if there was wheat bread but if there wasn't she asked what I would like instead (this was thoughtful) my husband and friend both ordered the perch with chicken wings one had sides of Mac & Cheese and Greens and the other had Greens with Grits. Our food was served quickly and was delicious. The only complaint they had was regarding the size of the perch, if the portions are so small, why not add an additional piece? Especially considering the price. The Shrimp and Grits were delicious, and well portioned. All the food was well seasoned, and not too salty. The atmosphere was pleasant, table and chairs were clean, and menu's were laminated. All was well but a little over priced for what we ordered. But I would prefer to spend the extra with our businesses especially one...

Associate took time with us, answering questions about the menu. Offering suggestions. I appreciate that, thank you Peggyâs!
Ordered margarita, 2 perch platters/ 4 sides. Wings and fries. (Weds .75 wing night) and Shrimp and grits.
The food was absolutely delicious! Never had Orange Roughy before. The owner blessed us with a sample, unexpectedly. It is my new favorite white fish! Crispy seasoned and flaky!
The Mac and Cheese? The absolute BEST Iâve had from a restaurant! The yams? Oh my, perfect, taste like a bit of almond flavoring in there. DELICIOUS! The greens? Umm umm umm! Tender, seasoned well! Dirty rice did not disappoint my husband.
Peggys is what soul food is!
