Excellent Indian food with good selection of wines and a courteous staff. Also went on the weekend and it was not very crowded or noisy.
OMG! Where do I start? I hate to give bad reviews, would rather say nothing, but on this occasion... We've eaten there in the past and the food was GREAT. I love the Shrimp Korma and even though it's not on the menu, they've made it. They just put shrimp in with Korma sauce, which they have with other entrees. So I ordered it and the server was a bit confused, but said, no problem, she would put the order in for Shrimp Kadai and it would come out as Korma. I trusted her. My wife ordered chicken marsala. Didn't taste like that to her. And mine came out and definitely Was NOT Korma. I should have sent it back, but wasn't worth the effort. It was edible, so I ate. We ordered wine, my wife and I MacMurray's pino noir which we have not see in years, and my daughter a Prosecco. The server did not realize that there was no Prosecco available. The chef brought out our Pinot, he said he could not pour two glasses, but filled one. I said we could share, but then he added that this was the last of the bottle. WHAT? It tasted bad and of course, we had it taken away and weren't charged. My daughter opted not to get a drink. There were only 3-4 tables occupied, so it was quiet, but it took forever to get the appetizer, tamarind eggplant, which was mostly chick peas and very little eggplant. After dinner I went to the restroom, where a bolt on the seat was broken, there were two empty toilet paper rolls on a back "shelf" and the air blower dryer was cold and couldn't have moved a paper napkin, let alone dry my hands. I guess a fitting ending. They must have changed ownership since we were in there last. I'm only writing this to tell people to AVOID eating here, especially if you've enjoyed it in the past. Too many...
Read moreWe have been visiting this place for my daughter-in-law's birthday for the past few years and have been pleased. I don't know if there has been a change in management or what the problem was, but this time was not a pleasant experience. There was only one person to wait on tables, so we were trying our best to be patient, but, after sitting for quite awhile, we had to ask for the basics, including silverware, drinks and a chance to order appetizers. Once those came(a couple not until several reminders to the waiter)and were finished, we had to get the waiter's attention so that we could order our meals. Still, we were being patient. We were a party of 8, and 5 of the meals came out in a fairly reasonable amount of time, but, by the time two more meals came out, those who had gotten their meals earlier were almost finished eating. (Had they waited to eat, their meals would have been cold.) The last meal took even longer and, by then, we were no longer patient. By that time we'd been there a couple of hours. We won't be returning. It's a shame because the food is good, and my daughter-in-law looked forward to...
Read moreUPDATE, 10-2-22 after previous disappointment we gave it another try and it's now worse than ever, quantities way smaller and prices higher yet again, chicken Tikka was like 4 or 5 small pieces of dried out bitter charcoal flavored jerky and nothing else but shreds of raw cabbage for $19.99. This was the final nail in the coffin , never again. Previous review: This place used to be great, we used to spend hundreds of dollars every Saturday night there and it was worth it. The lunch buffet was the best of anywhere but as good as it was , covid killed it. No more buffet, takeout costs more and is not consistent , seems like a different cook and different recipe for the same order each time you order it. One time it's good next time it's terrible, I just wish it would go back to the way it was in 2018, 2019 ... Well I wish everything would go back to the way it was then but nevertheless it's all these places using covid as an excuse for lower quality, no customer service, and higher prices with less options for the customer. Too bad, I used to...
