We have been coming to this store, at least 2 or 3 times a month since it opened. This might be the last with how this has gone. Please can a General Manager or who ever this store answers to contact us about this issue.
We placed an order for curbside pick, which their website says they have. We were given a 35 minute pick up time, which wasn't so bad, most times it is 20 minutes. It happened to be Cinco de Mayo so knew it would take a little extra time. When we got there we were told it would be ready in about 5 minutes. 15 minutes later we called again to check because it still was not brought out to us. Again we were told it would be 5 minutes, Another 15 minutes passed which put us 30 minutes past the time we were given for it to be ready.
I called back and asked for a Manager. The person that answered the phone, I hope he wasn't the manager, told me he was packing up my order but was waiting for my dessert and we would have our order in 5 minutes. I asked (a bit irritated by this time of hearing 5 minutes) if it was really going to be 5 minutes because we have been told 5 minutes 3 times now and had been waiting for 30 minutes past the time given.
The male that said he was the manager told me that I could wait or not he didn't care. Of course this is the last thing I wanted to hear so I answered that my food was already paid for and of course I was going to wait. I asked for his Manager or the owners name and he told me he was not going to give me any information and I could call back tomorrow and hung up on me.
15 minutes after he hung up on me our food was brought out. When we got home and checked our order we found out that half of our order was missing. Now I have to call this "Manager" back and figure out how he is going to correct this. It is a 30 minute drive back to the...
Read moreI was reluctant to write this review because prior to my experience last night, I had always had a great experience when dining at La Casita. Yesterday (On Cinco de Mayo) a friend and I went to have dinner around 8pm (website hours said open until 10pm), we were FULLY prepared to wait for a table, as we know cinco is typically a very popular day for people to choose to dine out for Mexcian. Upon arriving, we were told by the host (and another woman whom I presumed to be a manager) that they were “closing their kitchen”... it was 8:00pm. I worked in the service industry for years, so I know first hand what it is like to work insanely busy days at a restaurant. I realize that kitchens get overwhelmed, staff get “in the weeds” busy and it can be challenging. HOWEVER, as a consumer I could not be more disappointed in being turned away for business, ESPECIALLY on a day that should be planned for by management. If altered kitchen hours were going to be necessary, then this should have been communicated to customers IN ADVANCE. I understand that my $50 bar tab is small in the grand scheme of things, but following the ongoing global pandemic and the loss that restaurants and employees took during the shutdowns, I guess I would think that any business would be appreciated and accommodated for, seeing that this occurred during their own hours of operation. Overall I was extremely disappointed with this situation and how dismissively it was handled, as we had envisioned a much...
Read moreUnfortunately, I have to leave a 1 star review. Sadly, I have to urge all of you to AVOID THIS PLACE until they take a stand on their policies. I have been going to La Casita for years and years quite regularly, all through 2020 until now I have made many visits. Not once did I wear a mask nor was I ever asked to wear a mask. One time I was asked if I had masks for ALL of my family members and we did not, yet we were still served. Last night it all changed, after waiting for our table for 10 minutes and a lengthy discussion with the hostess and manager we were asked to leave. This was a first and upsetting that we were accepted in and asked to wait for a table with out being asked about masks until well into our wait. I am not sure why, suddenly, their mask policy is being enforced, especially when all numbers (deaths and positive cases included) are at an all time low. We have chosen La Casita consistently because we have never had an issue. Now that it has become an issue I will be refusing to go here and I urge others to take a stand until our freedom of choice to wear or not wear a mask has returned - until companies and restaurants like this one decide to stand up for themselves with our backing support to make a change against unlawful edicts posed against the American citizen. If this is the policy La Casita wishes to stick to, then I WILL NOT BE RETURNING, there are plenty of other places happy to receive my hungry dollars brave enough to stick to their mask or no...
