DO NOT order from Panera and have your order delivered!! I placed an order online for delivery. NOTE .... Panera does not openly disclose that they used Door Dash to deliver. If they do, it's not obvious. At any rate, after placing a delivery order totaling over $60 to an $11.62 tip. I waited and waited for my order to arrive. IT DID FINALLY ARRIVE BUT I had NO clue as no one rang my bell, knocked, or called because the delivery person sat it on the outside of my gate, they EVEN took a photo of it! My FRONT door / porch (which is where I had instructed them to leave it) is only about 6 feet behind my gate and clearly visible. Since my order was left at the gate, someone got into it, rifled through it's contents opened and spilled one of the soups, stole the flatbread, etc. Gross! So I call Panera and supposedly talked to a manager or supervisor and was told SORRY, we can't help you but you can call Door Dash and maybe get your tip back. Panera can TAKE your money, use a substandard delivery service to deliver their product, but take NO responsibility, even though it could be construed that Door Dash is their agent for delivery. . Ain't that just great! NO ... it's BAD BUSINESS!!!!! Panera, at least here in Coronado has TOTALLY lost my business and I will share my experience with everyone I know. It's a small town so that's EASY to do. UPSIDE ~ Door Dash was decent to deal with and withdrew my tip and was basically horrified to see where their delivery person had left my order. Thank Goodness that the delivery person was ignorant enough to actually take a photo!! Expensive night, but PANERA made...
Read moreI went there at 8:30pm, half an hour before closing time. When I ordered and said I wanted to eat in, the cashier lady told me they close at 9. I thought this was strange because most restaurants will let their customers finish eating without rushing them, since it usually take an hour or so before they're completely closed and ready to leave. She made it sound like I had to leave by 9.
A few minutes after 9, the manager came and told me that they were closed but I was welcome to stay and finish eating. I had a bread bowl, which is kind of hard to eat (chew and swallow) quickly, and I didn't want to take it to go. Then 10 minutes later, he came back and told me it was 15 minutes past 9, but he didn't want me to feel rushed. I thought this was pretty rude. You wouldn't say that to someone if you didn't intend to rush him, especially when it was the 2nd time he told me. Most respectable restaurants allow customers to come in up until closing time, and let them stay until they finish eating, as long as it's not way past closing time. 15 minutes was hardly anything.
To make things worse, the bread bowl was room temp when I got it, and there was hardly any "soup" in it. The turkey avocado BLT sandwich was good, but $6 for a half sandwich was not at all worth it. For $13 I couldn't even eat my meal in peace. Definitely will never come back and probably won't ever eat at another Panera.

Read moreStephen and Anthony should be fired. They knowingly serve expired, old and rotting food. They instruct their employees to do the same and when an employee expressed concerns, they punish them. You made your best employee quit on the spot because you were too scared to fire him yourself. I’m assuming you didn’t fire him because you had no reason. I mean he was an all star. He refused to sell expired items which upset you. He refused to allow new hires on the line without proper training which annoyed you. He tried getting people to pull their own weight so he didn’t have to do everyone’s job for them and you told him to quit. You hated him because he’s better at your job than you and made you look lazy and incompetent and that’s because you are. Stephen is a pathetic loser who is intimidated by his own employee (now ex employee) for doing his job better than you. Pathetic excuse of management.
BEWARE EATING HERE. You’re most likely eating rotting and expired food that the GM Stephen...
