One of the wing places of all time.

First time here; last time here. Came in around 5:30pm on a Monday. Only one other table there, and they got their food as we were ordering. Went to find a table, and more than half the tables were dirty and had food and dressing smears all over them. After we had luck finding a clean table and sat down, had a look around the place. Floors haven't been swept in days, and there was caked up food around the outside of the trash can area. Went to get our drinks at the soda station, and it, too, was coated in old soda. So far, we were less than impressed, and we've eaten at some questionable places in town that we felt were cleaner.

So, I got my dozen wings, which I ordered half "Spicy Ranch" , which they advertised as a dry rub, and Original Buffalo. When I got my wings, two things stood out: 1) the buffalo flavored ones weren't tossed in sauce, but rather sauce was either laddled or squirted on top of 6 of them. Whatever. The other 6 had absolutely nothing on them, and all were cooked the the point that you could smell charred marrow. I took my wings back up to the counter and said that the 6 that were dry were supposed to be Spicy Ranch. The kid took it back to the cook, who said something in frustration, grabbed the pan, then grabbed a large shaker of seasoning, and shook out a LOT of seasoning, then sent it back with kid to give to me. I kid you not, there was about 3 tablespoons of seasoning piled up on top of just 3 wings. At this point, I pretty much just wrote this place off altogether, as they obviously have no F's to give.

Placed a to go order of 3 meals, nothing complicated and was told when the food was ready I would receive a text message. Well I went inside anyways to start making my drinks so that way when the food was done I could just be ready and go. Now it is lunch time and as a person who’s worked in the restaurant business for many years I know lunchtime is not the time to be impatient but here’s the thing, surprisingly they were NOT busy. There was literally 4 tables seated and eating and no line, so I figured this should be cake. I’m assuming they didn’t figure they would be busy either because there was ONE cook. About 30 minutes after placing my order the cook puts a box up and the worker bags it. I’m starting to become annoyed because the cook looked like he was just nonchalantly making the order. Slowing pulling things from the fryer, slowing walking from one end of the line to the other, slowing boxing things so I stood up around the 40 minute mark because I believe actions speak louder than words and I didn’t wanna be brushed off by asking how much longer while I could see with my own eyes that clearly I was the only one who thought this time frame was ridiculous for wings at a slow lunch hour. Finally at 50 minutes the last box was placed for the woman to bag up and the icing on the cake was when the cook gave me direct eye contact and made it appear as if I was being unreasonable. First time visiting. Atmosphere: The overall feel is more of a sports bar than a restaurant. This could be a nice south side spot to watch a game and have a few drinks. Cleanliness: The floor was very slippery and almost felt like it had a coating if grease on it. The area where the soda fountain is wasn't nesscesarily dirty, just more unkept. I did not use the restrooms but from the outside looked very nice. Food: Appetizer-We ordered the loaded fries which was basically inedible. The french fries were topped with a sprinkle of bacon and a drizzle if cheese. (Hardly loaded.🙄 ) The worst feature was the mound of fresh jalapeños that were chopped and thrown on top of the fries including the seeds. Entree-Pork Belly Tacos. Honestly not too bad. Loved the large pieces of pork belly and slaw. What made me dislike this dish was bitting into the taco only to discover this too had chopped jalapeños with seeds! Customer service: Needs some attention. The young lady that was taking our order was unwelcoming and not helpful. Being this was our first visit, she didn't offer menu assistance, suggestions and didn't offer any alternatives when they were out of an item on the menu. Example, I ordered sweet potato fries and she quickly stated they were out.
