Kuyi Sushi Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Cromwell

I have tried here a few times since it is so close to my house and we moved to Cromwell about a year ago - I wanted to like it so badly but unfortunately it is just NOT a good sushi place. I ordered the sushi dinner and the fish is extremely dry and tasteless, I've had better fish frozen from Walmart. I also tried the 2 roll lunch combo today - 1 shrimp tempura roll and 1 spicy yellowtail. Shrimp tempura was ok with a ton (too much) sauce but the spicy yellowtail roll was rotten. Super sour metallic tasting and reeked of the sea. Luckily I only had once piece and didn't finish because it was definitely rotten. I gave them a fair chance and unfortunately won't be returning. Many better options in the area - sushi house for ayce and ninja Japan is my absolute fave! Try those first, don't waste...

This place is amazing. We ordered delivery online and were pleasantly surprised by our dinners. The presentation for Hibachi dinners and appetizers, even as a delivery, was pronominal. The meals were delicious, everything from the vegetables to the steak were cooked to perfection. All of this was also enjoyed with the high quality chopsticks provided with the meal. Seriously... That place was amazing and if my wallet and waistline could afford it, I would order from them every night. The only thing that my wife wanted was a packet of soy sauce. First of best thing about this place is that you get served quick and they attend well checking up every so often . Sushi here is good but my second visit, I got a bento box with steak(being under cooked, very red) Server didn’t even ask how I wanted the steak not sure if because they are young and don’t understand that yet but yeah , very turned off with this visit as well as my wife was . Food came out fast but seemed rushed! then the music playing was horrible and explicit for my dinning...
