We were looking for a consistently open Indian food truck near Irving after finding out Mayabazar shut down. Denton has some great ones, but it’s too far so we found Chill Bros Dhaba near Dallas and drove down from Coppell. The spot is in a sketchy location on a shady highway, and as soon as we got there, the smell hit us hard. It reeked of drainage, probably from the river behind the truck, so we had to sit farther away to avoid the stink.
The setup looked cool with navara manchalu, tables, and loud music, but most of the popular street food items we asked for punugulu, veg manchurian, rumali roti weren’t available. We ended up ordering chicken manchurian with roti, egg dosa, tawa bonda, nellore karam dosa, and egg noodles. Thankfully, the food was actually good. Chicken manchurian was tasty, egg dosa was surprisingly solid, and nellore karam dosa was the star soaked in ghee and full of flavor. The tawa bonda was okay, but the ghee overpowered the taste, and the roti was just frozen stuff reheated that we usually have at our homes. Noodles had that nice street-style taste too.
Service was quick, but the place was too dark for photos of the food. Overall, good food if they have what you want, but the location, smell, and missing items hold it back. Worth a try, but manage your...
Read moreWe went there while visiting Dallas and honestly regretted it as soon as we got to the parking lot. The whole thing is very poorly managed. I wished I had read the reviews rather than looking at over all 4 stars. There js nothing good about this place we went for dbaha feeling but this place was swarming with mosquitoes making it hard to sit there. They take so much time even take the order that it’s pathetic. As soon as you enter the parking you can see how poorly managed the place is as there is no parking and no one there to manage the parking. Once you are able to get the parking you will go to order line. There were only 5-6 people in front of me to order but it took 45 mins to place just the order. When I asked then why taking so much time to take order he replied-“if I do it faster then you will feel you have been waiting for food for so long.” A very bad argument. More over the food to come out even then took good 30 mins and my god the worst food I ate.
I would suggest save your time and money and stay clear of this place. Honestly I am not sure how they have even the stars they have right now. They don’t have anything...
