Literally just had to come back to my post that I had originally rated 5 stars about a half a year ago and make it 1. If I could mark it 0, I would. There must be new management or something, hiring literal rejects and fired employees from restaurants that were too rude to customers for not giving a damn. The first time we went, the service was "awful" and hilarious, best night we'd had in a long time and we went there on a bachelor/bachelorette party. This past weekend we went back for our other friend's wedding party. The guy wasn't "rude" and loving about it, he was flat out an ass. Not one smile, nothing. Not funny. We got our hats AFTER we got our checks, like great, we waited the whole night for the best part and we all had kids to get home to. We had to ask our waiter SEVERAL times for our drinks to be refilled and it took forever just to get our food, and when we did, half the table got theirs with a 30 minute separation in the other half getting theirs. Even a few other waiters and waitresses we noticed were just being straight aholes. Shame we went there for a fun experience that we remembered from before, and now we will NEVER be going back. And our group is not easily butthurt, we think the place is normally hilarious. We left the dumba a $0 tip too because he 100% deserved it, which he then stepped out on the deck when we left to scream down the street "Thanks a lot for the $0 tip!!!" You're welcome, bro, you deserved it. Actually, you deserved a $0.02 tip so you get taxed on that. And to the manager here now, please explain the difference of being a funny, loving "rude" character without being a complete d*ck with NO emotion. Waste of a $400 tab. Cold food & watered down drinks and the hats sucked this time too. He gave the bride at the table the wrong hat too, showed he wasn't paying attention to...
Read moreThis restaurant concept was a fantastic idea. It has been in Dallas for as long as I can remember. Having a fun server that says things to you in a way that no other place would even consider can be a fun night. The decor is what you would expect from a wild party like place. The problem is this place and it's approach to service has lost something along the way. I went in knowing that I would be berated by the service staff and I looked forward to the fun that would be. I ordered a couple of drinks at the bar before our group had all arrived, one was a double top shelf cocktail and a house margarita, over $40. Our group got seated and the menu on the chalk board was a mixture of fried food baskets with fries and and some pasta dishes and a steak option or two. I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta. I was told(yelled at) that it was a red sauce not Alfredo, which was fine sounding. What I got was oiled pasta with what looked like Tony Chachere's tossed in with half of a grilled to jerky wellness chicken breast on top. I know that I should not expect fine dining here but for $17 for this attempt at a pasta dish it was more than disappointing. The restaurant is being sustained by a good location to downtown, a reputation for fun abusive service staff that really don't care at all and a overpriced menu that qualifies this place as a tourist gotcha that should be skipped. Spend the money. At any restaurant in town and get a better experience and won't put your party regretting going while hugging the toilet...
Read moreMixed review here. Overall, I'd say go at least once for the experience IF you have a good sense of humor.
Parking in the area sucks. If you can't get in one of 5 street spots, you're going to have to trek it.
Wait list system needs improvement. You pretty much give your name and they yell it out. You can forget about going anywhere and waiting on a text. Large groups were milling about, blocking the entrance to even get in and get on the list.
Inside decor definitely gave Mardi gras vibes with community table seating. We definitely got the Dick's service, which was fun. The staff certainly enjoy their jobs and are quite efficient at degrading customers, all in good fun.
Food was ooook. I got a blue cheese burger and tator tots with chili and cheese. The meat patty was thin and a little overdone and the brioche bun wasn't toasted. The tots were crispy with a large helping of cheddar and chili. Garlic parm wings were saucy, flavorful and had a sufficient amount of meat on the bones. The fish taco was absolutely dismal. It was little chunks of fish excessively battered and fried on a tortilla with a pinch of lettuce. I was so happy I wasn't the one who had to choke that down. Service check in could have been better, I had to wave my server down to get more water and see about my burger being brought out.
The drink menu was extensive and I'd consider coming back to trying out the...
