Ghost Light Coffee House, recently lauded by the Dayton Daily News as one of the valley's best, certainly lives up to its reputation. As a devoted coffee enthusiast, I can wholeheartedly agree that it's a top contender, though the Dayton area boasts an impressive coffee scene, with powerhouses like Winans and Pettibone also vying for the top spot. It's truly a testament to the quality of coffee available in our community that such friendly competition exists! What truly sets Ghost Light apart, and what immediately captivated me, is its unique and wonderfully eclectic atmosphere. Stepping inside, I was instantly transported to a space that felt reminiscent of Yellow Springs – a vibrant, artsy, and slightly whimsical vibe. The walls are adorned with intriguing art pieces, and every nook and cranny seems to hold a new discovery, from quirky curios to charming little details that spark conversation. It’s clear that a lot of thought and personality has been poured into the decor, creating a truly inviting and inspiring environment for enjoying your coffee. Beyond the aesthetics, the coffee itself is, of course, excellent. While I didn't delve into specific drink names on this visit, the quality of the brew was evident, offering the perfect complement to the captivating surroundings. Ghost Light Coffee House is more than just a place to grab a coffee; it's an experience. For anyone seeking a top-tier coffee in a uniquely inspiring setting, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit. I definitely look forward to returning and further exploring their offerings and soaking in that wonderful Yellow...
Read moreThe OG spot for Ghostlight. It’s cozy, has quirky paintings modified with coffee cups, and they serve tasty coffee. The snacks are great too since I’m usually running around. It’s sometimes nice to grab a quick bite that isn’t a bag of chips. It’s a great spot to meet my clients to discuss jewelry designs, hang out with friends to catch up (I’ve never felt rushed there), and to also grab a cup of coffee and go if you are in a rush. I love the gem designed bike lock, and the blue grey wall outside. In the warmer months I especially enjoy sitting on their picnic tables out back. They have umbrellas so you can be comfortable if the sun is bright. There is a small parking lot, and you can park in the street directly outside. Even with it being slightly limited, in all the years I’ve been going here I’ve yet to experience any parking issues. It’s a nice family friendly spot that I would recommend anyone to visit. Conveniently located near highway 35. If you’re on a road trip it’s not too far off track to get a good cup of coffee. I also highly recommend their new sister store called...
