Delmar Diner — Restaurant in Delmar

Ok my first time there because I like to try different places. My Mom and I stopped in while doing our bill paying day. The girl who waited on us was super nice. The place had a small town diner feel The food on the other hand was not real good. I had the short stack ( pancakes, in case you don't know), 2 eggs over easy and sausage... Let's break it down. The pancakes were hard and cold with a strange taste. the eggs , not sure what was up with them. The yellows we're really orange colored. The sausage tasted like it wasn't pork. Kinda tastes like fake sausage. Now for Mom's plate the hash browns were didn't taste good and kinda burnt, the bacon tasted like cardboard. She said her eggs were ok. Well, when arriving there were no cars in the parking lot that. Should have told me something lol. I decided to go in and wait for my friend to arrive. So going in, I was in fact the only customer inside. The staff were very nice and attentive. I won’t go into a long story but. The only nice thing I have to say, I have already said and that was. About the staff being nice and attentive. Other than that I won’t be back the food was just cooked and tasteless that’s it. No love or seasoning what so ever. I got a dinner and breakfast meal both were not worth anything going back for. Years ago I worked at the Hardee’s across the street and my co workers and I would always order breakfast from here. The worst experience I've ever had. Ordered 2 simple breakfast platters for pick up and it was a disaster. The 2 waitresses stood there discussing one of their personal problems they were having and not doing anything. I waited past the time they gave me to pick up my food. Finally it was ready and when I got home they food was ice cold and missing part of one of them. I only live on the other side of the highway so it was a quick trip home. They only had 2 customers in the place so it wasn't because they were busy. They French toast wasn't dipped in batter before cooking it was buttered grilled bread. Who does that?
