Definitely not our cup of tea. The server we had was great, staff did greet us as we arrived and were super friendly and tried to accommodate to our requests. The food, however, was a complete miss. It's definitely not authentic Mexican food and not even close to Tex-Mex. The salsa was so salty it burned my tongue, the pico de gallo was not fresh at all and also lacking in flavor. The queso con carne tastes just like the sauce from hamburger helper. The food all around was definitely not good quality in our opinion as Mexican food should be, it wasn't even mediocre. It turned my fiance's stomach sour a bit after we left. I couldn't even finish my food. Needless to say, we'll probably never be back again. response I ordered the nachos to go for my teenage son. He didn't care for the food either so he threw most of it away. Myself and my son, being from the border and having family in multiple areas of Mexico are used to different ways of making regional foods. I will reiterate that our pico de gallo was not fresh. I know that onion are not translucent when fresh. I do understand that with each family comes their own unique recipes, I don't doubt that. This was just supposed to be a review on how we, as a family, experienced your food. It wasn't to defend our review from snide questions or comments. Like I said, the server did try and was friendly but I've been in the serving business for years also and I do know how to tip based on the workers trying to be accommodating and actually accommodating. Oh, and is it professional for owners or employees to sit and eat in the kitchen area where guests can see? Just wondering. Now we will never be back and will definitely steer our family and friends who come to visit us away from your business. Thanks for making it abundantly clear that we made a mistake in trying your business as our family is new...
Read moreThe meats really had no seasoning. My favorite item that I get from Maria's is the chille relleno because they roast their pablano rather than fry them which to me makes all the difference in the world! But lately I've been served old food, like they are so busy that they feel that they must pre-cook food in order to keep up with the large amount of people that show up for lunch. There is really no reason or excuse for old and re- heated food! They just don't have the crowds that may justify such subpar did bring served much less the attitude you get when you ask them to re- cook your food!! Please address the problems and correct them. I enjoy when the food is being prepared correctly and with just a little love for what they are putting out to the customers! It should not be a question or a wish that your food be fresh or taste good and that it has the seasoning that allow your food to taste good and you enjoy your visit. Please get it good again, I don't like it after I decide on eating there but feel like I have to cross my fingers and hope that my food comes out to me hot, fresh, seasoned and...
Read moreWe went there tonight, Thursday, and it was incredible. My favorite thing (which is saying a lot) was the service. Our server was SO nice, knowledgeable, and FAST! I wish I could remember her name. She was average height, dark brown/black long-ish hair. She was so awesome!!! It kills me I can't give her credit. The food was INCREDIBLE! I ordered nachos, and the enchilada/tamale plate with a sangria twist, and a margarita. The nachos were so amazing, the beef was seasoned deliciously. The enchilada was SO good and so much cheese!! Yum! Tamales were amazing, even the beans and rice! The taste is very authentic and fresh. I wish I had room for dessert (I didn't see if they had any though). I will definitely make this a regular spot for us for lunch and dinner. Actually, I can't wait to go back to try their seafood plate and their taco salad. I can't believe this place isn't more popular (or is it and I don't know?). ...
