Mexican X Japanese listening bar with a unique aesthetic, quality sound, and magical vibe. Their pepita cocktail is the best cocktail I've had in a long time. I could drink it all night, but also wanted to try some other offerings. The maiz cocktail was mezcal forward and came with cute cacao bean on a wooden spoon. The food is spectacular too. Really loved the rabbit tamale with fig mole. Ever since trying amazing mole for the first time in Mexico, I've been chasing a similar experience in America and finally found it here. The chilmole & miso negro roasted octopus dish was tasty and creatively paired with mezcal seaweed and pickled radish. The tight knit space and dim lighting were reminiscent of the delightful cocktail bars of Mexico City, but with ample seating, a chiller vibe and cultural handcrafted decor. Visited Malinche during their opening weekend and had such a good time, especially with a LP DJ spinning tunes! We got 4 drinks: Maiz, Tomatillo, Pepita, and Cacao - would definitely recommend the Cacao, it's like a Mezcal old-fashioned.
