Well, first I'd like to say that I haven't eaten any food from here. I'm an UberEats driver and recently had the horrible experience of attempting to pick up an order to deliver. When I arrived, there were already 10 drivers there waiting for their orders. I knew this was a bad sign. I waited for a few minutes and more and more drivers showed up to get their orders. Granted it was a busy Saturday night during the quarantine. There were 4 employees behind the counter trying to make sushi as fast as they could. Then, the owner or manager would bring the food up so the drivers could deliver it. He was stressed and it showed. He wouldn't respond or respect any of the drivers. He told us that if he doesn't have the food ready, he won't tell you when it's ready and tells us all to cancel the deliver and he'll just get more drivers to deliver it. He said he didn't care and he can get 30 orders in 5 minutes and doesn't care. Good for him, but bad for everyone else. I ended up waiting nearly 15 minutes before I saw his tantrum and swearing and I cancelled my delivery and turned off the app until I was far away from this restaurant that I will now never eat at. They either needed an extra employee to help handle the delivery drivers during this busy time, or stop taking orders. The manager or owner could show a bit of respect and kindness even though he was busy. It goes a long way. Probably would have gotten a positive review instead...

If I could rate this place just on the food, I would give them 5 stars. The food is always phenomenal and fairly quick to come out of the kitchen/sushi bar. This is definitely one of the best places as far as fish and flavor compared to price goes.

Where this place really falls flat is in the service. I would probably give them 2 stars for it. When you walk in, the host/wife of the owner will greet you, but she won't look up from her phone or the computer screen on the far end of the bar. She will simply point to a table and say "sit there" or "sit anywhere" and then bring water with no smile or other greeting. The owner is also notoriously rude. He has previously spilled water on me and my fiancée in his carelessness, and not apologized. He typically delivers food in the same way, just setting down the plate without a word or "enjoy". He and his wife never come over to check on you while you're eating, or ask if you want anything else to eat. They also treat you poorly if you choose not to order alcohol, which I find off-putting. That being said, every single one of their other servers is lovely and kind, and I always cross my fingers that we get one of them.

I will still probably be a customer, because I have never found another place in Denver that compares to the quality of their...

So, I ordered from @Okinawa Japanese Cuisine for my birthday through DoorDash this year and was blown away by the quality and taste of the food.

I really enjoy sushi, but my wife doesn’t do seafood. She ordered their beef tenderloin and we both agree it was amazing. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, the sauce was delicious, and the beef was sublime.

I’ve been eating sushi now for about the past ten years and have always struggled to accommodate my wife with other sushi restaurant menus because the non-sushi stuff tends to be an afterthought at a sushi restaurant. But, that is NOT the case here at Okinawa Japanese Cuisine. My wife felt, for the first time, included in the order because not only were they able to accommodate her preference for not-seafood, they wowed her taste buds with an extremely tasty and well-balanced meal.

With that out of the way, I can discuss my order: i had a Golden Roll, a Spicy Girl Roll, and an Ichiban Roll. They were SO tasty vkusni! The Ichiban roll is deep fried and just had such a flavor profile that burst in my mouth. I really enjoy that sensation of “layered flavors” with a deep-fried sushi roll.

I’m now a HUGE fan of this restaurant and cannot wait to...

I've had sushi in Miami, NY, and LA most of my entire adult life. Okinawa does it just as well, if not better than restaurants in coastal cities. The price is fair, and I spent roughly $50 on 10 pieces of nigiri, of course made in front of me including 4 pieces of fatty tuna (price compared to other times.) The service was impeccable. Cleanliness is commended. I highly recommend this established for any sushi lover in Denver or anywhere in CO. Worth the drive. Sushi lovers traveling by and through. And if you've never tried sushi before, but want to give it a shot, out in a single order of the fatty tuna nigiri, or the freshwater eel if you simply can't do raw. It may just change your life! Okinawa is the best sushi in the Rockies going West until you hit Cali (or a detour to Vegas)

I can’t believe this place has over 3 stars literally anywhere. I ordered Miso Soup, Kani salad, gyoza, and a couple of rolls. First things first there was some kind of plastic or woven string in my miso soup about 4 inches long and I couldn’t even rip it apart when I tried. The picture of the kani salad is attached because it really shows what their food is like irl. Their sushi is limp and soggy and comes apart. Sushi rice texture and taste is off. Kani salad was the absolute worst Kani salad I’ve ever had in a sushi place. I was genuinely shocked at the food quality. The only thing I was able to stomach was the gyoza. 1.3/5 stars for the food. People will say this is the best sushi they’ve ever had because this is Denver and they literally don’t know any better.

I really hate to leave a bed review but holy heck was the ramen absolutely awful. I knew the ramen would be bad as soon as I saw the egg. It says it comes with a marinated egg and bok choy but really it's an over boiled egg and straight lettuce leaves. Broth lacked flavor and meat was chewy and fatty andnot in a good way. I had hoped that the poor ramen reviews from over a year ago weren't true now but they are. I attached a pic because anyone that knows ramen, knows that's not how a ramen egg should look. That said I also had a mango salmon roll and that was decent. If I were to come again, I'd only get sushi. Other than that atmosphere and service was great.
