Panera Bread — Restaurant in Derby

The person at the cashier register didn’t even say hello to us and just starred at us after my mom just forced a hi how are you she said absolutely nothing after a 2nd my mom asked for the manager she stormed off and then hid on the side of the wall and starred at us. Then the manager came in and my mom explained what that happened about how she didn’t greet us. Just give a rude smile to us. And then he gave us some lazy excuse and said is that really the problem here. and then she gave a rundown about how customer service should be and how we’ve been coming here for the past four years. The staff here used to be much better. I don’t know what has changed. The manager apologized and acted as if he understood the problem even though I don’t really think he did, and he really didn’t care he was just trying to sugarcoat things. and then my mom said we’re never coming back. I said have a good night just to try to be nice and then we left. We went to the one in Shelton afterwards a nice man named Charles and I forget the other ladies name much better service friendlier and the place is cleaner. Go there instead of this dump hole with a bunch of a holes. I should’ve recorded the whole thing and uploaded it to YouTube, and other outlets to spread the word about this place. that’s because I’m nice. You’re very lucky. The cashier was AWESOME, I didn't catch his name but loved him, what a great personality! But once I ordered & went over to the pick up area it turned into some nonsense lol I only wanted a piece of cheese on my 1/2 turkey sandwich & although the cashier added it to my order he forgot to charge me. The food prep girl said I can pay her the $1.29 if I want the SLICE of cheese added. Then another worker person comes up backing her up saying yeah because they're really not allowed to add anything to duet orders (soup/sandwich). I was like $1 for a 1/2 piece of cheese? She was like yeah I gotta charge you, he didn't charge you. All I had was my debit and credit cards and I was not swiping for $1.29 cheese lol there shouldn't have been any fuss over one slice of cheese. If it were me behind that counter I literally would've just thrown it on my little 1/2 sandwich because 1 -its not that serious 2 - it should be a crime to charge ppl that much for ONE slice of cheese 3- a customer satisfaction move would've meant more in that moment. Its not that crucial but I won't be going back to this location just on principle....

On Monday June 13, 2022 I had by far the worse drive thru purchase experience ever! I chose the "you picked 2" deal. Okay, its simple and shouldn't take long at all. It was a small chicken Ceasars salad along with a broccoli and cheese soup. I ordered just a combo at 8:37pm and by 9:00pm I had to walk in to find out what was happening. It shouldn't take that long to make a small salad and a small cup of soup, even if it was made fresh it shouldn't take 30+ minutes. As I'm about to walk in a young teenager was bringing m my food and talking on his phone (had it on speaker while bringing me my food) shows me that either management is not aware of this or management has lost control of their franchise or the final theory is that no one cares. This is someone's franchise and I hope and pray they see this review cause at this point I expect either a change for better happens or the 431,000 viewers on my page sees this. Just totally disappointing and I will never go back to this location. Very sad but a very...
