We went on a busy Sunday evening during dinner rush. The parking lot was not easy to enter from the direction we were traveling down Chocolate Ave so after a few extra turns and u-turns, we entered. We elected to sit at the bar where two seats remained as the dining room was on a wait. Took a long time to even be acknowledged by 4 bartenders who were making drinks and working the register right in front of us. No greeting until we received menus which we started to take from the couple next to us after we hadn’t been attended to and were overheard by a bartender. A single gentleman was seated to my left who was having a personal conversation with one of them the whole time. When we were asked for our drink order, I ordered a martini flight which is nice for a variety of cocktails and my friend ordered a Long Island classic. She was offered to upgrade to a pitcher for $2 more, which was an oversized draft mug. Waited again for a long time to have our dinner selections ordered. The food didn’t take too long but was twice sent to a different patron because the employee entered our seat number wrong so we had to claim the soup and dinners at two separate times by yelling down the bar to the food runner. When we asked for a water, the bartender rolled his eyes and said I will get it in a minute but continued his personal conversation. After our meal was finished, we tried asking for our check but were shut down multiple times because of the friction between employees of a chicken tender dinner for a child which was served to the wrong patron. Then the employees had to bicker back and forth about who’s problem it was to handle. Overall, the drinks were the best part, the food was decent but the service was lacking even with 4 bartenders on shift.

**Review: Best Ever Apple Pie With Vanilla Ice Cream** From the moment I took my first bite of the "Best Ever Apple Pie With Vanilla Ice Cream," I was transported to a place of pure comfort and bliss. The experience was more than just a dessert—it was a warm embrace in a world that often feels too cold. The walnut streusel, perfectly golden and buttery, provided an irresistible crunch that contrasted beautifully with the tender, spiced apples. The nuts brought an earthy richness to the pie, grounding its sweetness and adding layers of texture. As I savored each mouthful, the streusel's slight nuttiness mingled with the caramelized sugars, creating a sensation that was both indulgent and wholesome. And then, the caramel topping—oh, the caramel! It draped itself over the pie like a warm blanket, adding a silky, luxurious sweetness that felt like a reward after every bite. The way it oozed over the walnuts and soaked into the flaky crust was pure decadence. It was as if each drizzle of caramel brought a moment of pure joy, filling me with warmth and a sense of well-being that lingered long after the last spoonful. Paired with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream, the pie became an unforgettable symphony of flavors and textures. The cold, smooth ice cream melted into the warm pie, creating a velvety contrast that heightened the entire experience. It wasn’t just dessert—it was a moment of pure, unadulterated happiness that left me feeling comforted and content, like I’d been wrapped in a cozy blanket on a chilly day. In short, this apple pie isn’t just the best ever—it’s a reminder that sometimes, the simplest pleasures in life are the ones that make us feel truly alive. - Ben Winters

Always great food and great service! We go here at least once a month and I have never had a meal that I didn't enjoy. The small plates are great for sharing or ordering a couple and making a meal out of them. The place is always busy in the evenings so be sure to get there early if you don't want to wait to be seated. After 6pm the line is sometimes out the door. If you still have room at the end of your meal they have a nice selection of desserts to choose from. The pictures I posted are of a Maker's Mark Old Fashioned, Chicken Lettuce Wraps and the Steak and Wedge Salad. The Chicken Lettuce Wraps are a sesame glazed chicken sprinkled with scallions, wonton strips in the middle, a cup of peanut ginger sauce and large iceberg lettuce leaves. The steak and wedge salad is one of my favorites and comes with a 5oz sirlion steak, a wedge of iceberg lettuce covered with a generous amount of blue cheese dressing sprinkled with bacon and spicy pecans, red beets and green beans on the side. There is a generous slic of gorgonzola cheese for topping your steak and my favorite fried polenta croutons.

My wife placed a to go order at 753, there was no info on how long it would take so I called. I was told 15-20 mins I arrived at 815 with my daughter and we went to the bar to pickup. The bartender completely ignored us, but did see us even a pleasant "ill be right with you" would have been nice (it wasnt busy as there was only 3 couples at the bar. After 5 mins be cane over and I said we have a to go order and he got our name he returned and said it will be ready "soon" I figured they just had to bag it up. Well at 834 he brought it out (41 mins after the order was placed and we were told 15-20) I searched through the order immediately to make sure everything was there. My daughter's side (fruit) was missing. The same bartender saw us standing there and still ignored us. LUCKILY Alex was delivering food to a bar patron next to us. I explained he fruit was missing and apologized and went right away and grabbed it. As I left I wasn't greeted again by the hostess stand (like when we came in we were not greeted). My wife called as about 1/2 the order was incomplete her salad was missing 3 items, my dish didn't come with the sauce (I figured it was one of the cups inside, it wasnt) and was also missing onion straws. She spoke with Alex and be was eager to take care of us over the phone. So the only reason I left more than 1 star was because of Alex even though my interaction with him was short, he was an absolute Rock Star (he noted on the phone he was the one who brought my daughter's fruit cup). I work in customer service and Alex is somebody that your business should 110% be behind and have him training the rest if the staff (especially the bartender m, whom I'm sure ignored us because he saw my 6 year old sitting and realized he wasn't gonna get a tip from us little does he know I had a $10 bill ready to give him). And as for hostess stand their main job is to be welcoming on the way in and wanting you to come back on the way out. We stop in this establishment about once a month and have left reviews before (all good), but if I come back and see Alex he will get an extra tip from us and if i hear your not treating him right he will also get a job offer from me. Be more like Alex, let him show people how to make an experience worth it. He is an asset you don't...

Went last night with a girlfriend, I've been before but last night was her first time. It was jam packed but I made a reservation in advance so we were seated immediately. From the moment we encountered our waiter he was visibly agitated. I don't think it was from us but he was definitely not in the best mood. We shrugged it off and figured maybe he had a rough table before us but maybe he'll see we're easy going and things will get better. Nope. I understand having a bad day, I understand dealing with the public is not easy but I also feel that if serving is your profession, taking your mood out on tables isn't the way to go about it. As I said it was packed so the time to come back in between tables was a bit long but granted how full it was, no big deal. But in the hour and a half we were there I got no refill on my drink. We ordered 4 appetizers he read them back to us but still somehow put the wrong app in. Again that happens and people make mistakes but we honestly weren't surprised by the mess up because when placing the order he kept trying to walk off while we were still talking. This is not to bash our waiter but just describing how the food can be amazing but the service makes you feel like your presence is a burden. I still left a sizeable tip, maybe that's why he was upper before we got there, I'm not sure. It just brought down the night and made us take our entrees and dessert home to eat.

As for the food, top tier! The shrooms are to die for! The chicken lettuce wraps were delicious and packed with flavor. The crab and shrimp dip, devine. The fancy cheese, how can you go wrong! The creole fried chicken was delicious and cooked perfectly and the fish and chips with that dill caper sauce outstanding! The Limoncello and chocolate cake with raspberry was the only disappointment. The sponge cake tasted borderline stale. It was dry, chalky and crumbly. The 3 stars is not for the food but unfortunately the service. Had we had a different waiter and chosen a different dessert it would have been...
