Not great. The salsa is all tomatoes no taste.the margaritas are so so.i.had enchiladas rancheros horrible. Its tortillas drenched in tomato sauce no kick very sweet. This is not real Mexican food.i ordered tacos to go.you get two small tacos and some rice and beans for 12.00 really.the guacamole was ok not for 11.00 dollars. I can make this at home cost less.its chevys or on the border food bland no where near authentic. Breakfast only on sundays. Overpriced margaritas i wouldn't recommend. Maybe ill try brunch for the mariachi. Unfortunately i went again.the place was dead.stood at the hostess stand 20 minutes no one came to sit us.they finally sat us down next to the bar horrible. The drunks were so loud.it wasn't a good atmosphere. The chips and salsa arrived. The chips are ok the salsa is sweet.the miami lakes cancun is better. This place is a tourist trap. Everything in the menu is super expensive. For appetizer we had the guac trio dont order it.for 15.00 dollars you get three tiny containers with a little bit of guac.not worth it.avoid all alcoholic drinks very overpriced. I had a tiny sangria with no alcohol. The food is taco bell with exuberance prices. I can see why its empty.the quality of food is to be desired. I had the flautas terrible with nasty refried beans.my sons quesadilla was tiny the taco bell one is bigger cheaper. The three tamales dont order it horrible defrosted not even cooked there.not authentic Mexican food.pile of crap food. Nothing is fresh here.if you want to sing happy birthday apparently it will cost you.they hand a menu with a variety of Mexican desserts being sarcastic you have to buy one to get a happy birthday day.200 dollar taco bell meal. Chipotle's and...
Read moreOur first time going to Cancun Grill Doral restaurant for a Sunday brunch celebrating my nephew’s Bday, party of 10. Receptionist playing a joke on us telling us she doesn’t see our name on the reservation, bad joke and an attitude. Once we were seated we had the most clueless waitress who doesn’t understand anything. The food at the buffet wasn’t tasty as we thought, you can not serve the portion you want, you will have a cook who will take your plate and serve you, if you like more food you will have to go back again, what’s the point of having a buffet if you can’t serve yourself. Couple of us ordered the margaritas passion fruits and they poured the worse tequila in it. You will have the worse headache later on. My suggestion don’t order the menu of $45 unlimited drink 🍹 ( it will come with the headache 🤕) better take the menu of $35 unlimited soft drinks then if you like order one beer of $6 with no headache. We told the waitress that it was my nephew’s Bday and if they could sing Happy Bday. The Mariachi came at the end of our meal and place a sombrero on top of my nephew’s head and sing Happy Bday, we tipped the Mariachis $10. When the bills arrived we noticed the restaurant was charging us $10 for a hat that we have never requested. We called the manager and explained that the waitress have NEVER mentioned to us we were going to be charge for a hat they left on top of my nephew’s head thinking it was placed there only for the show. The manager was kind and removed it from our bill. This place needs a professional and bilingual receptionist, knowledgeable waiters/waitresses, better quality food and tequila then it will be the PERFECT place to have brunch...
Read moreA wonderful Baby Shower celebration!
From a management perspective, the manager, Augusto, worked with me in setting up the room providing sufficient time for set up. The day of the event, he was onsite to ensure all ran smoothly and staffed the event according to the party size.
As far as service, our servers, Mayerlin, George, and Kimberly introduced themselves at the beginning and worked with me throughout the event to allow time for greetings, appetizers, games, meals, and dessert. They kept me informed and provided warm and professional service. They were flexible, knowledgeable, made suggestions, and anticipated our needs. We felt welcomed and at home and never felt rushed.
Which takes me to the ambience. The ambience was authentic, joyful, colorful, and beautiful. The lighting was perfect and although decorated in tasteful Mexican style, it did not compete with the baby shower decorations. They provided a speaker to play our own music selections.
Finally, the food. We were a large party (48 guests). There was another large party in the main room. The kitchen was well staffed and the food came out fast and at the right temperature. We offered Arrachera Durango (grilled skirt steak), Pollo Norteño, and a vegetarian enchilada each with refried beans and Mexican rice. All the entrees were generously sized, cooked to perfection, and of high quality ingredients. The margaritas were unparalleled and the coffee selections were great!
Highly recommend the Cancun Grille Doral party room for...
