June 1, 2025 @ 8:45 pm - 9:45 pm —— Day after my 51st birthday. This has been my go to spot for years when I’m on this side of town with my husband, family or friends. So since I was staying around the corner at the Crown Ravinia hotel, I decided to come over here to continue my self-care theme for my birthday weekend. Booked the hotel & spent most of the weekend by myself, focusing on just me. After recovering from my birthday evening (which was awesome), I decided to get dressed this evening and come over here, thinking it would be like what it used to be. I asked for a regular margarita and was given the small glass that you see in the photo which is a skinny margarita that I never asked for. A little over half way filled. “Light ice”…Then I was told after I inquired about the size, that it is $13 because of the grand mariner. I was extremely disappointed. I am a margarita connoisseur & WTH? Where’s the margarita fish bowl glass? Anyway, I decided to try again after expressing my disappointment to the bartender who could care less. No personality. Not very personable. Then I ordered a Big Tex margarita. “Tall glass” in the photo. $12 for this? Where’s the rest? I was told it’s because I ordered it with light ice. I guess it’s not the Mexican restaurant as it was. Maybe too commercialized. Thennnnn I ordered birria tacos. My hard, very dry, overcooked tacos are in the photo. Maybe it’s because they close at 10 PM and they are all just over it at this point. It was definitely a low point to finish out my birthday “self-care” weekend. I didn’t make a fuss. I asked the bartender multiple times about the size & she answered like she probably has been taught. Very scripted. So…I’ll waste my money today & just never come back. It’s been a couple years & I see that things have changed. I can’t help but feel that I could’ve gone to and I spent my $$ at an authentic Mexican restaurant with the fish bowl glasses & real birria tacos. Trust me I know. I go all the time with my family and friends. So much for my favorite food & drinks today. Disappointed. Moving on & telling all the folks that we have brought here in the past. Yup…& I still have to tip. SMH. Sincerely, Brooke

On 12/28/16, My husband and I were Hungry one night after seeing a movie and didn't know where to go. We drove all the way from Phipps Plaza to mcalisters on Holcomb bridge just to realize they were about to close. Then he remembered my cousin had suggested a taco place a few days prior and we chose this location. It was approx 10pm on a Tuesday and we were very hungry. The location was a little tricky because his gps on the phone did not show that it is located practically inside the suntrust bank. Nevertheless we arrive and the staff was nice I manage to get a parking space in front of the door. Meaning parking is typically to the back of the building. This dish is posted was really good and hubby had tacos. The selection of music they played made us feel like we're in the club which was fine with us. They played 2 chainz and Taylor Swift lol it was a great choice and we're definitely going back!

Love this spot! Their tacos and nachos are really good. Great customer service from the time you walk in. Our waitress was really nice and helpful. The food was fresh and didn't take too long to come out. They have a variety of tacos to choose from some of the tacos range from $3-$5 deep on which one you choose. There is a charge for chips and salsa. The dining area is open and you can order your food to go. They are enforcing social distancing while dining in. Tables are spread out and have x's on them to keep the distance. Their located in the same building near Suntrust Bank. Parking is limited in the front but you can park for free in the parking deck behind the building.

UPDATE : 8/26/23

After my last review I was contacted quite quickly by the locations GM (Leti Newell) about the POOR visit to her store. She gladly offered a gift card in the amount of our bill and really took the time ro ask about what was wrong, etc. Fast forward to yesterday (Saturday 8/26/23) and we went back to see if redemption was possible and needless to say it was. We arrived around 10pm, place wasn't busy at all which was a surprise but not a concern in the least. We couldn't have gotten a better server (John) who really did a GREAT job and if you've ever read any of my reviews I am BIG on customer service to say the least. We knew what we wanted so we just gave it all to John and he knocked it out with ease. Now this time the food was PERFECT! Two Cantina skillets, chips/salsa, beer and a Margarita and asked for but had to pay for tortillas (a minus in my book but worth it). The food was EXCELLENT and EXACTLY the way it should be!!! Really full of all the freah ingredients, a ton of the requested protein (Buffalo fried chicken) WELL worth the additional money BTW and just absolutely PERFECT. it was so full not only did we, for lack of a better tearm.... PIG OUT but we had a bunch of leftovers which I lovingly say I just finished eating before sitting down to update this review. This really goes to show that any restaurant, server, bartender, ANYONE can have a bad or off day so always try to give them another shot when / if possible. This location absolutely redeemed themselves 100% so thanks to Leti for addressing the initial issue, John our server for AMAZING service and some great conversation and the Kitchen staff for knocking the food out of the park!!!!! ENJOY!!!!!

FIRST REVIEW : Absolutely the WORSE visit to any Tin Lizzys location! The server obviously has never worked in the service industry and never should. We got half of what we ordered because she didn't confirm the order and the music was too loud. The food was sub par to say the least, especially ths portion size. The skillet which is normally awesome was lacking in every way.... Barely any cheese, the added chicken was terrible (for an additional $5+) and I never received any tortillas to even eat with even after asking. Server (Jasmine) checked on us once so I had to go to the bar just to get another beverage. This location (Perimeter Mall) was always really good but they've hired some poor servers and that's saying a lot because she only had two tables. The other table had to flag her down just to order. We should have just gone to Chuey's right around the corner!!! At least we would have gotten free chips and salsa, I mean seriously.... What Mexican spot doesn't have free chips and salsa!!!??? Waste of time and $50 for two beers, one margarita (small) a skillet with no tortillas and a single fried chicken taco!!!!!!!

Side Note..... I've worked in the Service Industry for almost 13 years. Serving, Bar Back, Bartender, Supervisor, Management, etc. in HIGH volume establishments such as the Tabernacle, multiple restaurants in Midtown and I was the former Food & Beverage Manager of the Georgia Aquarium which would handle parties of up to 500 guests. So, needless to say I KNOW service both good & bad so I'm not just an angry patron because I wasn't pampered or didn't have enough Tequila in the Margarita..... Which...

Atmosphere was very friendly. I went with a co-worker that recommended the place. The staff was very friendly and served our orders fairly quick. The food was great. The chips and dip were amazingly delicious. The drinks were fairly priced and tasted great as well. You had the option to stand or sit at tables which was pretty neat. At times the sound inside was deafening and I couldn't hear my co-workers talking. But it is a bar right? There were times when it was a bit cramped, with people coming in and out of the area, but not too bad. The outside patio is a different story and had lots of tables outside to sit and smoke to your choosing. That's where me and my co-workers ended up for the remainder of the night. They had people performing and singing which was awesome. It was my first time here and my experience was amazing. The only problem that I had that caught me by surprise was one of the people of management. I believe his name was Lloyd. The way this man carried himself was shocking. It was horrid the way he was speaking to one of my co-workers about a certain issue. He carried no professionalism what so ever through out the conversations we had. It was more or less like arguing with a child. We didn't spend a fortune there but we did spend money regardless to enjoy ourselves and have a good time, yet we were treated with no respect what so ever. I will not be returning or recommending this place to my friends, family members and co-workers until Lloyd is no longer working there. I have never felt so disrespected and unvalued as a customer. I was looking forward to visiting again and now I'm...
