I usually don't bash a restaurant unless warranted but thought I would warn people what I went through. My wife and I visited the wertzville diner for the first time a few days ago. It was around 5PM and we were the only customers there. Not a good sign to start with but we continued inside. About 4 others arrived before we left. I'm a big eater and was hungry. When ordering my wife was going to order the fried chicken and ask how many pieces would be served. The waitress said 7, my wife said she wasn't that hungry and ordered something else. So I ordered it. The waitress warned me that the pieces were small but I went with it anyway. I should have listened to her. When the food came out I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I wouldn't have left it out of the kitchen let alone serving it if I were the owner. The pieces were left in the fryer to long making all of the smaller pieces crispy right down to the bone. The pieces were the size that would have been from a pigeon, no exgaration. I took a picture of a wing next to my pointer finger and it's no longer than my first knuckle from the end. 90% of the wing drum was breading. Needless to say that we won't be back.

I know this place recently opened, and I hope they have success. The menu is very similar to some of the other locally owned diners in this area. We went for the Pork and Sauerkraut for New Years Day and were not disappointed. Every one in our party enjoyed their food. I hope they do more with all the space they have in this old Hoss's building, and keep the murals of historical Enola in place. They only had the lights on in part of the dining area, giving it a gloomy feel.

We came here again because I’m pretty sure I had a good experience the time prior but this time unfortunately will be our last. It’s a Sunday after church and the coffee wasn’t brewed? Our food quality was subpar - hard pancakes, slimy turkey and dry hasbrowns. Meals that could’ve taken 20 min took close to 40 min. The sweet tea had a freezer burn taste and so on. I’m sad because I chose to eat here and disappointed my family’s Sunday lunch.

I have mixed reviews about this diner. It was dark outside when we arrived and we weren't sure if the restaurant was open. Outside lighting is bad. Then walking in, the ambiance is very strange and offsetting. While the parking lot looked pretty full, the restaurant felt somewhat empty. It is a large space and they had most diners in one booth section. The restaurant could definitely use some updating. I started to get the sense that I was going to be in for a bad dining experience just from the feel of the place. I ordered tacos because it seemed unique to have Mexican items on a diner menu and I thought maybe this is the background of the cook or owner. I will often order Greek items from diners owned by Greek families. They were out of the tacos. So again I thought this may not be the best decision. The waitress suggested the fajitas and that is what I got. Our food came out quickly and it was very good. My son ordered a turkey club and they used real roasted turkey and not just deli meat. My daughter enjoyed her pancakes. For the Fajitas, the chicken, rice and peppers were delicious. They could do better with the side of lettuce and beans which was really the chili. I thought I was going to be disappointed with the food and I wasn't. I think there is potential here if they keep with good quality food and do some updating to the place. I've read complaints about the staff, everyone...

We have eaten here twice now. Once, in house, after they first opened. Standard Diner food. I ordered a salad and it had the core of the salad in it. Some of the salad was brown. Not a huge deal, I know they had just opened and were learning. The other person in my party got an open faced sandwhich the gravy was your standard, canned gravy. More then likely from Sysco. I'm assuming that it was sitting on a line all day because it was super thick and extremely salty. To the point it was not edible. We wanted to give this place another go now that they figured everything out a bit and decided to door dash entrees from them for mothers day. I got the grilled chicken cordon blue. This was an extremely over cooked piece of chicken, 2 think slices of ham and Swiss cheese melted on top of it. SUPER disappointed.i couldn't eat the chicken and the ham was sweet tasting like it was on the verge of going bad. I also did not receive my second side. Extremely disappointing considering it was over 18 bucks for this entree. My mom got the marinated chicken, again dry and almost not edible. She also did not receive one of her sides. We were jipped a drink for my sons kids meal. App said he would get applesauce and he didnt.between all that and the rude wait staff when we picked our order up we won't be back. Theres much better diners...

Save yourself the frustration and do not dine here! This was easily the worst diner I have ever been to. The diner was almost completely empty, the waitress took ten minutes to get us one tea, one coffee, and two waters. The couple sat two booths from us (who arrived well after us and received their food first) was swearing and complaining about the fact the tables weren't clean and they were gonna call the health department. The waitress came over to their table and gave them a hard time about it and admitted she hadn't cleaned the tables. She also admitted to punching the computer when it made her mad and that a customer the previous day filed a complaint against her. She was openly swearing around everyone and yelling at the kitchen staff. At one point she even called them the "r" word. It was at that point we were ready to leave, but we had already placed our order and we don't 'dine and dash'. 45 minutes later we needed to leave and there was still no food. So I got up to request our food be placed in boxes to go. The waitress didn't say a word to me, turned away from me, shook her head, and yelled at the kitchen staff that they took too long (which is not what I had said). We spent $25 for a tea and coffee because we didn't trust the food once we...
